You're receiver is rated at 100W. Your speakers can't take this nominal power from you receiver, overheat, impedance goes way down and you receiver shuts down. You would have fried all your speakers long ago if it didn't. Get speakers rated at at least 100W nominal, 150 to be on the safe side and you will be smiling ear to ear.

Your receiver is going to fry them sooner or later or you might damage your receiver. Keeping the volume low is the only thing you can do.

Read your manual and see if you can limit the power output, I tried to download the book but the yamaha site wants me to sign in, no way.

30W is 1/3 of your receiver power output, go from there.

Page 35, range -10 to +10 db

3db = double the power output.

10 db = 90W
7db=45W
4db=22W
1db=11W

Anyway, you get my drift . Set them all to -10 and go from there.

Page 79 Speaker levels or page 35 speaker level.

Play with it until the amp no longer shuts down.

Time to put down the drink before you cause any real damage.....

Get a friend to figure this out for you. Obviously you're not technically inclined.

Sorry I couldn't help. but here is a last try, KEEP THE VOLUME DOWN.

Have a merry one.
