Very good article regarding the pursuit of rebranding carrots... why not make them look like junk food!

would love to see some discussion on this...

The problem, for me, is that they still taste like carrots. I'll eat them but I'm not going out of my way.

had you read the article (because its 3 pages) you would have read that they are working on adding natural and healthy flavors to the carrots... like cooler ranch baby carrots... that could be epic.

CPA: you are in the Syracuse test market i am assuming?

Not thinking BIG enough!

What's an even greater and more pervasive sales point than tubby-tubby-yum-scarf-barf, near-food-like, snack modules?

It sounds like a great idea.
I would buy them if they come with a packet of salt, or other flavoring for times when I felt like using them.

The big obstacle is selling enough of them so that they don't go bad at the store. They are competing with products like Doritos with government subsidized corn and oil, and that last virtually forever in the store.

If a bag cost less than two bucks, I think they have a shot. But at something like 3 dollars or more, I don't think they would sell enough.

Thanks. They'll go well with our water supply here.

Well, I pissed around long enough trying to put a link in the thread so I skimmed the 1st page.

Not just going bad at the store, but at home too. Even if the Doritos go stale, you can sling them in the oven for a bit.

Guess that would be where the salt comes in, making them a not so great snack.

Love Doritos.

No. I live in Texas, but grew up about an hour out of Syracuse and have always been a Orange fan.
