I do get that she's a joke. It would have been one thing if that was the intent but it wasn't and to me that's the sad part.
 
Wow watched the WHOLE video for the first time. Never made it that far and I just realized this video is BAD. 🙁
 
oh my god. with everyone talking about her i had to watch the video. i can't sing worth shit and don't think autotune would help (it would probably commit suicide) but holly hell she was bad! very very bad.

She sucked, the song sucked and the video was crap.

I keep trying to make it to the end of the video, but when that first chorus comes on, I feel compelled to turn it off. Something about that first really grates me. Maybe I should try watching the video with the volume off...
 
I made it through neither the original nor the acoustic version. I don't have a problem with autotune when used right, but her voice is ridiculously nasal. A pair of thick-framed glasses would pretty much complete the image.
 
The WTF moment for me was when the car full of old black dudes just shows up and takes over.

She is the next nothing. Her video is only popular on youtube because of how terrible her song is, and autotune is not doing her any favors either. First time I saw the video I was pretty sure it was a parody of pop music it was so bad.
 
I don't like to keep piling on the shit, but why would her parents skip voice/music lesson part of being a singer? If they have the kind of cash to make this 'video', voice lessons would have been a much better start.

No idea what her plans are, rather that IF her parents are trying to jumpstart a career as a singer the money spent on the vid would have been put to better use with voice/singing lessons.

On a more serious note, the girl has a youtube page where she answers questions and she is really cool. Takes the whole thing with humor. Says her favorite image is the one of her playing the accordion.

It may have been posted, I haven't kept up on this important topic, but I did LOVE the subversive "gotta' have my bowl" lyric. Of course, it was only referring to cereal.

lol i tried to find the pic of her with the bloodshot eyes and then munching down on cereal in he next photo and the lyric captioned "gotta have my bowl gotta have cereal"
