Rebecca Black really isn't the problem. She's a less than talented performer that used someone else's studio magic to make a piss poor song. The problem is with Ark Music Factory and other so called producers that use Pro Tools and auto tune to manufacture music. It cheapens it and makes it a product with no value. No one will talk about her as bringing anything significant to the table. She'll just be a snippet on some Vh1 one hit wonder special

how is this any different from techno or whatever? or electronica?

i hadn't actually heard the whole song until today. the autotune makes her sound like a retarded witch. she needs to hang with kanye for a bit.

You are 13, someone comes up to you and tells you, you have the worst song in the world, ever of all time.

Does this make you better or worse than other 13 year olds?

Most kids don't do shit worth talking about, much less ridiculing.

Apparently if you want to profit these days instead of making the best song in the world, make the worst. Youll get 100m+ views on YT in no time flat!

Cha-ching!

I highly doubt R-Black just wants to profit, maybe her parents and backers do, but she probably just wants to make some music videos. I respect that, at 13, she's done something that his put a crick in the worlds dick. I respect that, she's the first to be ridiculed, when this has been pop music for the last 15 years, and she's only 13.

When I was 13 I was worried about saving up enough money for a PS2, so I could get the new FF, I didn't change the world. I listened to crappy punk and raged against a machine that's long sense been replaced and updated. I can bet her parents push her to do this, and if she comes out with a video that gets any views, that's worthy.

She's easy to make fun of, the song is...bad, but somehow you can still listen to it, it still makes sense in reference to modern music, and if it's all bad, at least it's not half-bad. It didn't get millions of views because people hated it, it got millions of views because people saw it and it was easy to make fun of, while listening to it multiple times through. You had to know just how bad that chorus was, how awkward a 40 year old rapper in a video of young people is.

R-Black is art of the highest order, she says nothing of herself, just of you and your views of herself.

Please leave R. Kelly out of this. :D

I missed the golden shower part of the video, my bad.

It's probably cut out when she stutters about the day after friday. That day is called shower day, and you cry to your priest for 10 hours.

Rebecca Black just proves my theory about modern music. Anybody can become a pop singer today thanks to Autotune. You just need to be good looking, and even then we've got Photoshop and After Effects to fix you up.

Everybody please stop calling these people "recording artists", because they're not. John Coltrane was an artist. The Beatles were artists. Muddy Waters was an artist. Ke$ha is not an artist, nor is Lady Gaga, or Justin Beiber. They're hacks that make a lot of money while contributing nothing worthwhile.

Attention whoring and self-indulgence are not exactly challenging or wild activities for modern american 13 year olds.
