Get one of these new bad boys, twice the ammo capacity, twice the barrels, twice the triggers! It is the latest from Arsenal Firearms, called the F-2011 IIRC. There are videos of it shooting on their homepage I think.

Just found my next purchase. I don't care if I have to save for 10 years, I just found my eternal 1911gasm.

I'm holding out for the Compact version, be easier for conceal carry. :awe:

Having two .45 ACP's entering at the same time would create a tremendous amount of hydrostatic shock and a gruesome wound channel I would think.

You can order it with a single trigger (probably two joined in reality) or two separate triggers too.

I expect that double barrel 1911 to be deemed illegal, one trigger pull = two bullets= no no.

Thank you for all the responses. My handgun knowledge has increased exponentially and now I want to dive into it and learn more.

I'm going to buy a Hi-Point .40 today for the cost factor and have something to practice with, and when I get the money, I'm going to look into some of the others ya'll have mentioned.

So you are going with a bottom of the barrel gun to save, then burning the savings on the higher ammo cost of .40?

Scrape together 200 more and get a lightly used G19, G17, M&P9 or other solid gun. If you practice a reasonable amount, you are back to even within a year because 9mm is so much cheaper to shoot than .40.

I don't think you have. Your still buying worthless junk with higher ammo cost. Save another $100 and get something that at least approaches decent. For $300 you can get a decent used gun that will be reliable and function well. A $200 highpoint is like flushing $200 down the toilet.

With the right level of license, no gun is illegal. :awe:

You do raise an interesting point. However, do note it can be configured with a single or two triggers. Regardless, this thing is ultimately a proof of concept or a gimmick, a true range toy. I found an article that has some more info, along with a link to the video where it can be seen shooting.

Would be a nice oddity to add to my collection.

it's catering to the new gun crowd rather than the old gun experts and to collectors of gun oddities which is growing...handguns became really really popular in 2011. Even less than a 1% market take is huge.

I think it's funny they are comparing it to 9mm though in the ads.

Honestly it probably wouldn't be bad for home defense assuming it fits your hands. Two JHPs at that small a separation = 1 massive wound channel.

this would be a bad idea for a home defense gun no matter how you think I am trolol'ing.

because I don't think you understand that having a gun at home <> home defense.

What's the reliability on that gun?

I thought "assuming it's reliable" was implied but whatever.

My criteria for a home defense gun: Is it 9mm or greater, accurate, with at least 5 shot capacity and will go bang every time you pull the trigger? Anything that matches said criteria is suitable IMO. Beyond that it's all a matter of preference.

A lot of guns aren't reliable. I think that's why you have MyBrute as a sig, a game that requires no involvement in the gaming; you don't understand.

For home defense 5 shots is really weak unless you have a security detail already. It's not a daily carry weapon, it's going to defend you against those 3 dudes that sneaked into your party that night and then doubled back to rob you.

Like I said, comes down to preference. That's your preference, and you're as entitled to it as you are to your butthurt fixation on my sig.

life isn't automatic. That's my main problem.

It's funny your take-away out of reliability and more than 5 rounds for home defense is what you came back above with.

Is this gun really in your budget?

Never said it was.

I'm not going to discuss your lack of conversational skills in terms of what's implied and what isn't. Suffice it to say you have as much information on this gun's reliability as I do, which is zero. In that case, one must assume that the gun is reliable; for if one assumes it is not reliable then one must assume same for every other gun one is lacking data on. Meaning if you knew nothing about Glocks, using the logic you're using in this convo. you'd dismiss them as unreliable. Which is wrong.

There's a fancy latin name for the logic behind this, but it escapes me at the moment.

Budget was never in the equation. We're talking (or I'm talking, you're trolling) what's adequate as a home defense tool.
