My thoughts exactly. I expected to see a gross cow. Instead, I was shocked that girl played in a movie about fat women. She's not runway model skinny, but fat does not describe her. 200+ lbs would be fat. Weighing more than a skin-and-bones chick does not make one "fat". Again, I just think that kids don't have an idea of what sexy is yet.

I'm with NoSlander. I think the girl in the original pic is sexy. I didn't think of her as fat at all. You guys need glasses.

No. You guys are wrong. What you are describing is OBESE. That is what 200lbs+ is. I am merely saying fat. If you think she is perfect the way she is, YOU need glasses. She isnt merely a bit more than a runway modle skinny. She is fat.

Wow, I didn't know that you guys could be so picky! You guys must have women throwing themselves at you! What's your secret?

You should read the threads on this forum about famous and successful female entertainers. I still have not figured out way these guys trash women the way they do.

It's to help those women to know their place, gotta make em feel like crud so they'll be grateful for any crumb of attention that comes their way.

I'm sorry,I cannot understand the attraction in tearing other people down based on their looks. Why is ripping another person's self-confidence into shreds such a thrill for some here?

Gotta congratulate the wonders of the MTV generation.

Go to an art museum sometime guys. There are a lot of paintings, (actual art, not cheesy hollywood entertainment), from times before 1980 with plenty of women in them, and I can tell you, not many of them look like the airbrushed, 0% body fat, models you see on the cover of Maxim. The whole fascination with being absolutely lean, down to the point where you're sacraficing normal body fat because you think it makes you look pudgy isn't an idea that's been around since the dawn of man, it just kinda rolled around when entertainment became mainstream, saturated with beautiful people all over the magazines, TV stations, and movies. Unfortunately, plenty of people try to emulate it. Girls wear skimpy clothes, plenty of makeup, and develop eating disorders as early as elementry school because they feel so judged and worry so much about their apperance.

She is not fat at all. What the hell are you talking about? I wouldn't even call her chubby.

So you would give her 3 squirsts out of 5 on the Hand Lotion chart?

I likes the big gals. The little ones are o.k. until you get out the branding iron, then they start kickin around tryin to get away. The big ones just lay there sayin "oh crap, not again".

Is this a feel good for chunky women? Kind of the "I'm not fat, I'm just bigboned" copout? That's what I thought. Regardless my desire to watch this movie is less than that to watch Daredevil.

First things first that BMI concept is found not to be an accurate measure of if your obese or anorexic, its just a general rule of thumb (if you want further information look it up in some recent medical journos (I think that where I read it from, right now I am looking into IBS. Come again I think it was in an article written by this doctor. I must go find it if I still have it). Also every body and mind is unique, what rocks one persons boat might not rock another... Obviously I personally would not like a female to go way overwieght or underweight (having some issues with this one cause the girl won't understand that she looking good and doesn't need to exercise vigoursly :( ). But to say that the pic of the chick posted earlier is fat is AN OVERSTATMENT. My 2 cents... hope you can understand it I am writing what I think at the moment....

BMI.... general rule of thumb.... I guess you could have gleamed that from my posts.... IF YOU WERE PAYING ATTENTION.

You didn't clear anything up. BMI is a good initial indicator. As stated before, if BMI is not going to work for you (ie. Arnold), you know it.

If somebody doesn't like their looks of course they should do whatever it is to change them. However the idea that somebody should go out of their way to change their appearance in order to appease strangers is totally over the top.

Now I'm going to go have lunch, homemade eggplant parm made special for me by a co-worker's mom who's old school italian, yummy!!!! :p

Its about a fat girl trying to persuade her fat mother that its ok to be fat, that she likes the way she looks, and that "real women" have curves. Too bad her curves are closer to straight lines (removed "huge ball of fat statement since HotChic so graciously pointed how wrong I was). When we (guys) talk about curves, we mean Selma Hayek, not this..

That is all.

It is a good movie, though...watch it before you open your stupid leak hole...

If I could be made to watch it maybe, but I can't bring myself to do it.

Personally I like girls who have curves, especially nice butts, but really I'm more of a face guy anyways. But still, chunky really doesn't do it for me. If someone is comfortable with their weight, you won't find me making fun of them, I just am not all that attracted to them. You think I should be? That's fine, but telling people who they should find attractive is retarded. It's not like you're going to change my mind.

And yes, I work hard to prevent my genetics from "taking over" because it's a lot healthier and I look better. And it's not really all that difficult, people should give it a try, it certainly wouldn't hurt the overweight stats for the US.
