wooohoo!!
congrats everyone 🙂
and congrats to the japanese who found the key, that lucky bastard 😉

although I can hardly believe it's over now...
I've been running it and checking nearly every day for nearly 3½ years, it feels odd... doesn't it?

and Robor, you're not alone, I too kinda thought it would be going over 100%, with all the "fake-looking-wu's"... but, I'm glad it didn't 🙂

what to do now...
guess I'll kill golumrulers for a while...

Crying shame that I just added an XP 2200+ & 1600+ this week. Guess it's off to SETI I go. Payback for the SETI Cavelry trying to keep the Dutch Power Cows from taking first place from us back in January 2001.

RSA Security has announced it also (they put up the contest money and message)

The Russian Team tried really hard to catch us, but we held them off. Mooooooooo!!!!!

I need to check, but I think that Japanese PC was really one of mine I left there a few years ago. 🙂

You know what's interesting about what you said is that just when I was about to get involved with Gamma Flux, the sponsor dissolved... 🙁 😉

partayyyyyy!!!!!!!!

1,058 days and 3,214,226 blocks from meh, I knew they weren't wasted!! 🙂🙂🙂

Time to concentrate on finishing ECCp-109 then..

Well.. I did 12,829,688 keys.. time to remove all the clients.. i'm done with dist computing.. too much work !

I.... I.... am shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

I will continue with another DC project if I can find one that can be set up like I had for RC5.

Congratulations to all TA members past and present who worked on RC5!

I enjoyed the ECCp-109 contest and highly recommend it. It will be ending probably by the end of the year. TA is currently #5 in ECCp-109 and could use a boost.

Ron Rivest himself announced that RC5-64 had been finished today during lecture for the MIT computer security class http://web.mit.edu/6.857/www/

As a former long-time TA RC5 member, it was pretty cool to hear that the project was finally completed. Congratulations to all!

Hell, Now I won't know what to do with myself... My poor computer might have to be shut off for the next day to give it a rest. 😀 Why do I have a feeling SETI will soon feel a sudden surge in bandwidth problems again???

Or maybe not...

Congrats team and I am glad to know many of you...

Wolfie

I think my work herd will automatically switch to OGR now... 😉

I don't have access to these computers anymore so they'll switch or they'll be lost for the team.

A big CONGRATS to all the RC5 team ! 😀 😀

MOOOOOHOOOOO ! 😀 😀

thanks to all

although we have had some low points, it still has been a blast
thanks for letting me be a part

Humm, I don't really know what to say right now. There is literally a tear in my eye because I'm so happy...

Above all, I'd like to thank Netopia, Jackal, and all the other "old timers" who convinced Anand to get us started on this project. I'd like to thank the rest of you, new and old, for sticking with this project, cracking 1,512,870,161 blocks under the TA banner(that's better than 2GK/sec folks). Even though we didn't find the key, I give congratulations to my team mates who have worked this project for almost the last 4 years, accomplishing the fall of RC5-64, and some great things along the way(The WarpCore, mini-teams, races, etc).

Kick back gentlemen(and ladies), and make a toast to the team. You've worked hard and suceeded, and now deserve to party. Congratulations.😀
