Trump supports, explain this to me:

Why do the white workin class people support a rich guy whose claim to fame is hosting a TV show where he literally fires people on national TV?

Other than people who badly want Trump to win, I find it hard to understand how anyone could seriously predict that outcome. He will be beaten like a rented mule. This election is already over.

Perhaps so but because women and minorities will vote their own personal interests, identity politics, rather than taking a chance that Trump might actually do something about the grip the wealthy have on both parties, the only real issue, the loss of our democracy. I believe that Trump could be a disrupter, while Clinton represents business as usual. I will vote for Trump. I see the situation as dire and worth taking great risks. As of this moment, my intention is to vote for Trump.

No Trump supporter here. But I will give you my opinion.

Because he is pandering to their issue of losing jobs and wages to globalization. Sanders is pandering the same msg.

The current system needs to die. As much as I don't like Bernie, I think it would be great for our country to have a Trump vs Bernie battle of the two non-establishment candidates who aren't beholden to lobbyist money.

It's about jobs and the economy, look around... Obama is the 4th worst prez in history regarding GDP growth. Trump's company has a higher profit margin than Apple and he has the most dominant personality (leader) of the 17 candidates. Despite the media and Republican establishment spending millions upon millions in ads and coalitions to stop him, he still won. And he won the nomination faster than hillary to boot.

You realize Trump is running on a platform of giving the largest tax break in history to the wealthy, right? If that represents breaking the grip of the wealthy, what would represent the opposite?

Didn't people already school you on the stupidity of comparing profit margins between industries? Did you get scammed at Trump University or something? And why would you compare speed in winning a nomination between contests with dramatically different rules?

Again you're just flailing. Aren't you even slightly embarrassed that people keep rubbing your face in stupid things you said?

Stating the obvious, but you shouldn't be apologizing at the rate this woman has. It's pathetic, her handlers should have her stop interviewing. In the past 6 months alone she's managed to piss off LGBT and coal miners and apologized. Trainwreck
Right, five times in two years. It's a veritable pandemic.

This is why Republicans still control Congress and so many states. It's also why Trump actually has a chance in the general. Too many Democrats stay home.

I suspect more than usual would-be D voters will be staying home or voting third party because of a fair number of Bernie supporters who don't want to support Hillary.

But the number of anti-Trump conservatives is very high and probably significantly dwarfs that.

Interestingly, now that Cruz has dropped out there are some signs of Trump supporters who are switching to voting Bernie in open primaries, since Trump has clinched it and they see Bernie as a better second choice than Hillary. Possibly also some Cruz supporters (or Kasich supporters who realize it's not going to be a contested convention) picking Bernie over Hillary as the next best anti-Trump push.

But that's all too little, too late.

If only there was some way to measure this. Something like a company questioning about 1000 people on their preferences and putting that into a nice percentage number, or similar. If only such a poll existed.

Link what you've got. I've seen polls like this but I don't remember them very precisely.

Not really, because this the second poll in the last week that has come out (first was GWU) that shows Trump in at least a statistical dead heat with Clinton. As more and more of these come out, just remember I told you so.

In literally every election cycle there are a few polls which show the opposite of the general trend and ultimate result. Literally. Every. One. Several polls had Romney ahead of Obama, and McCain ahead of Obama, at various times, both during the primary and during the general election. And funny, but I can recall right here on P&N there were conservatives starting threads about those polls. Yet we both know who won both elections handily.

It's OK, just keep looking at only the polls which tell you what you want to hear. You apparently need to, because you're weak.

I'm going to enjoy listening to conservative radio for the next several months.

They are going to go insane!!

Now all I hear on the radio is about these amazing complex Hillary conspiracy theories. Yesterday they were talking about how Hillary sold our uranium mining industry to Russia...wuuut?

If you believed everything on conservative radio, no doubt you would think Hillary is the anti-christ.

should be lots of fun!

It worked for Karl Rove, much to the entertainment of the American public.

remember guys, OP is the very same doofus that thinks:

--2 seasons of superior athletic performance qualifies for unquestionable GOAT vs around 15+ seasons of performance from the only legitimate GOAT (helps to toss out ~ 6 average seasons from the upstart candidate, obviously)

--the shittiest team ever beating the best team ever, once, in one game in a 73 game season = league-wide parity.

This guy is the numbers version of michal1980, if that guy could count.

But trump is different as a real man he apologizes to no one. Like the true alpha male poor little beta speedy aspires to be.
Yes. With his fake tan and his botox and bouffant hair he's a real man's man. Or at least looking for one!

Two point lead? LOOK AT THIS POLL EVERYONE.

13 point deficit? Who cares?

This guy just reeks of insecurity.
