Why do the white workin class people support a rich guy whose claim to fame is hosting a TV show where he literally fires people on national TV?

Other than people who badly want Trump to win, I find it hard to understand how anyone could seriously predict that outcome. He will be beaten like a rented mule. This election is already over.

Perhaps so but because women and minorities will vote their own personal interests, identity politics, rather than taking a chance that Trump might actually do something about the grip the wealthy have on both parties, the only real issue, the loss of our democracy. I believe that Trump could be a disrupter, while Clinton represents business as usual. I will vote for Trump. I see the situation as dire and worth taking great risks. As of this moment, my intention is to vote for Trump.

Trump's company has a higher profit margin than Apple and he has the most dominant personality (leader) of the 17 candidates. Despite the media and Republican establishment spending millions upon millions in ads and coalitions to stop him, he still won. And he won the nomination faster than hillary to boot.

You realize Trump is running on a platform of giving the largest tax break in history to the wealthy, right? If that represents breaking the grip of the wealthy, what would represent the opposite?

This is why Republicans still control Congress and so many states. It's also why Trump actually has a chance in the general. Too many Democrats stay home.

I suspect more than usual would-be D voters will be staying home or voting third party because of a fair number of Bernie supporters who don't want to support Hillary.

But the number of anti-Trump conservatives is very high and probably significantly dwarfs that.

Interestingly, now that Cruz has dropped out there are some signs of Trump supporters who are switching to voting Bernie in open primaries, since Trump has clinched it and they see Bernie as a better second choice than Hillary. Possibly also some Cruz supporters (or Kasich supporters who realize it's not going to be a contested convention) picking Bernie over Hillary as the next best anti-Trump push.

But that's all too little, too late.

Several polls had Romney ahead of Obama, and McCain ahead of Obama, at various times, both during the primary and during the general election. And funny, but I can recall right here on P&N there were conservatives starting threads about those polls. Yet we both know who won both elections handily.

It's OK, just keep looking at only the polls which tell you what you want to hear. You apparently need to, because you're weak.
