Buffalo chicken is $1.99 for a 6" sub. I ordered 2 so they used a whole loaf of bread. The person making the sandwich didn't cut it in half.

The idiot at the cash register (who I think was the manager) tried to charge me $6. I told him i thought it was $1.99 for a 6" and he said it's $6 for a footlong. I told him to cut my sandwich in half. He charged me $4. then when i asked for the coupon, he rolled his eyes as he was getting it.

In fact, as I'm writing this, I think I'll write a complaint letter to Subway corporate.

My brother worked at a Subway here in town. He would constantly gives me free and very reduced priced meals($2 for 2 6" subs, chips, and drinks). Even free they weren't all that great.

It would be interesting to see how Subway corporate would respond - being that the location is more-than-likely a franchise. You'd be better off finding out who owns that location and go after the owner. The owner would care way more than corporate how the idiot employees are behaving.

I hate subway. I had to go to one to get some gift certificates for my dad for xmas (he eats there all the time).

They don't accept anything but cash for the certificates, but they'll accept credit/debit cards for the food.

Imagine how much more you would've saved if you asked him to cut your sandwich into eighths!

Yeah, then he'd probably be posting from the E.R. - as the manager would have probably whacked him with the knife. :Q

it's a special.. $1.99 for a 6". no idea why in the world they thought they could get away with "you have a foot long so it';s $6" routine.

but since this promotion has been going on for a month, it means that they got away with it with others and charged them $6 when they ordered 2 6" sandwiches and wasnt cut in half and placed in 2 separate bags. :( : disgust

yeah, they put my sandwich in 2 separate bags, so it costs them even more (besides the time it took them to cut, rewrap) because of the 2nd bag and the napkins in the bag.

"I'd like a six-inch Buffalo Chicken sandwich, please."
<Sandwich Artist makes and wraps sandwich>
"Anything else?"
"Yes, I also need another six-inch Buffalo Chicken sandwich."

What is with them cancelling the sub club, as well? That was the only thing that made eating there cost effective.

too true... one time I had to get the guy to repeat what he was saying 3 times. I felt bad and just nodded yes... I don't think I ever knew what he was asking.

what i dont get is you can SEE them making the sandwhich yet you didn't notice them never cut it in half? or you asked them not to?
either way i think this was your fault...i mean you watch them make the sandwhich and never brought up the fact its all as one, you should have had to pay the full footlong price.

I too am dissapointed about the sub club going away :( they say they will be implementing a card system where its a magnetic strip isntead of the lick/stick variety

I luv my local subway...two cute girls making me my lunch 3-4 times a week...they give me extra everything (inc meat/cheese) free...and its definately more filling than mcD's.

Both of the ones by me have letters from "Headquarters" stating they are no longer doing it and each one turned in is worth $.50
