Goes to show GOP has nobody for 2016.

Christie is your only hope.

No he is not. Not at all. He represents a shift toward a neo-conservative stance. Aka more government growth in line with what hawkish Dem's and Republicans types on both side would like which where the ends justify the means.

I think I am going to register republican, just so that I can vote for Rand Paul in the 2016 republican primary.

He is one of the only candidates that would slow down the authoritarian movement in the US in my opinion.

Obama pretended he would, that didn't work out so well.

Heh. Rand Paul represents a different kind of authoritarianism, the tyranny of the cultural majority of the past, of reverting to a different authoritarian role system.

It's typified by his statements about how businesses should be able to discriminate on the basis of race. It's Jim Crow in drag, a well known authoritarian.

Agree. He is one of the few people in government who is willing to obey the Constitution and reduce the size of government. Rand Paul is the clear choice for the gop.

Aside from the fact that no one would vote for him in the general. Paulbots seem to have this delusion that they're some kind of massive electoral army. Reality is he's a fringe candidate with an extreme minority of support.

Honestly I don't think a Rand Paul presidency would be the worst thing. Hell with a democrat majority in the congress it might even be productive. But it's not going to happen in 2016.

Rand Paul has different methods than his father. He is able to work with others and communicate his ideas. He would destroy Hilary in a debate.

And he's even more open about pandering to racist sentiment.

Obviously, that bothers you & your fellow travelers not at all.

Meaning that maybe every time Repubs consider the idea of broadening their appeal, they're betrayed by their own racist base.

Nah. Couldn't Be!

Lol, top pic until someone listens to him speak for more than 10 minutes. At best he's another Santorum in that regard.

I don't think he's quite as bad as Santorum, but it seems every time Rand speaks it's pushing some form of extreme social conservative agenda, which is gonna keep him from ever winning a general election.

The only racist is you. Unless you have evidence of me being a racist then STFU you worthless scumbag.

I think you probably got Tea-bagged and your ass kicked by the Tea Party which is why you hate them😀

Yeh, I know- supporting a politician who openly panders to racist sentiment isn't racist, just because you say so.

The mental gymnastics required to arrive at that make you a truly special mental Olympian.

There is no evidence he is racist but keep acting like the resident scumbag. It seems you have been Tea-bagged too many times😀

Heh. Regardless of his personal sentiments, he panders to racism-

There is, of course, the letter he wrote to the editor of a Kentucky newspaper expressing the same sentiments way back in 2002, so it seems that he probably felt pretty strongly about it. Letters to the editor aren't usually passing brain farts or careless offhand remarks.

Obviously, he's tried to distance himself from his own remarks after the fact, but everybody knows what he said & what he meant, where his sympathies lie. He's not really fooling anybody who doesn't want to be fooled, and neither are you.

I sincerely hope Rand Paul wins the Republican nomination. He's a fine representative of the increasingly fringe concepts that make the Republican party what it is today.

Dude, you're full of shit. There is absolutely fucking nowhere in that piece saying that he panders to racism.

I oppose the whole Civil Rights Act of 1964 and I'm a black African negroid for fuck's sake.

Rand Paul is a nobody at this point, and will always remain a nobody. I find it quite humorous that he is even a choice for Republican Party nomination. I find it quite humorous that the Republican party still exists.

<-- Ron Paul supporter.

Ron Paul simply won't be allowed to do most of what he could promise...
And..if he would go to much to the right or to the left - he would be assassinated..

Republicans will be on - when they will be needed - when another war will be in plans.
Mitt Romney didn't win - he was too soon in "the picture"...

I don't think, president is elected by people.
Everything is done - manipulating with STATS - who's likely to vote for this or that - ...News, Stats, percentages...It's easy....

Don't forget that bigger crisis is coming...How long do you think, you can borrow, print money while doing nothing?

There's has to be an End to That...
