There are non democrats that live in the northeast corridor or in CA that feel as if they've lost representation as well and have felt that way for years. I lived in MA for 8 years and when I moved back to OH I lived in a county that was gerrymandered with a blue county 2 counties away to ensure that my county's vote was swallowed up. So I know what it's like to fee like I have no federal representation. Yet I didn't go after my representative or senator to give them a beat-down. I hope this guy goes down for felony assault.

Problem one: you're just assuming that this battery was politically motivated when the only evidence to support that assumption is the mere fact that the attacker was a democrat, while neighbors have said there was a personal dispute between the two. Problem two: it doesn't matter what the motivation was. It was a battery and he should be prosecuted regardless.

This incident was over Paul dumping his lawn waste on his neighbors yard over the course of years. It hasn't a thing to do with the assailant's opinion of Paul's politics. Why are you lying when the everybody who can read and has google can find the truth? It doesn't reflect well on you at all.

Just like they were painting the Texas church shooting as left wing terrorism. We have gotten to the point where objective reality is meaningless to them even when it can be proven. It is religious thinking at its worst.

While I'm happy Rand is alright, I do have to say he is Low T because

Wearing ear protection working in the yard
Having a 60+ year old beat the crap out of you

Paul deserves shame since he never does anything to prevent shame against his opponents

Lawn mowers are 90+ db. This is enough to damage your hearing if you are exposed to it for a sustained period of time, which mowing a lawn will do.

So he is Low T because he is intelligent and values his hearing?

You know what strikes me as more of a beta cuck than anything? When I hear men say, "speak up please I can't hear you."

Enjoy your senior years completely deaf.

Yes High T and deaf is the way winners go. Less hearing the old crows complain.

It wouldn't be news if it wasn't a political attack either. Minor neighbor disputes by a couple of Doctors don't end in 5 broken ribs, but try to sweep it under the rug, it's what lefties do when the target of violence are Republicans or conservatives by Democrats and Socialists.

tajbot standard reply #5. The bot developer was not very creative. Hopefully the next bot he builds will be better.

what? you make no sense:

--it's only news because one person is a politician (Fact)
--yeah, but it wouldn't be news either if it wasn't political (you--saying something demonstrably stupid)

--pushing it off as news is what makes it political, dummy. You get that, right? It was never political, it was never news, but now it is, so now you can call it political? Where did you learn to logic, Liberty University?

It's news because the victim is a sitting US Senator. Nothing else is required to make it newsworthy.

You obviously believe that this battery was politically motivated, so why don't you explain why you have come to this conclusion, other than the fact that the attacker happened to be a democrat because if that is your sole evidence, it doesn't cut it.

There's links posted earlier that the 2 neighbors had spirited disputes about politics.

Yep, you were right, I meant these numbers. I was WRONG in my earlier post.

Oh I see, here are the CATO numbers (a staunchly right-wing think tank--and not the popular chart showing the 74/3 spread going around these days). This data gives a 10x greater incidence of rightwing violence compared to leftwingers. I think he uses a tighter window than the 74/3 spread)

This is, you know, data and stuff. What we often learn in my line of work (science), is that the data doesn't always reflect our own personal smell tests. Many of us re-calibrate our smell tests when the data doesn't align, of course. ...but then there are idiots like you.

Here is a summary of the last 10 years, where you get rightwingers like yourself killing people in 74% of the politically motivated murder sprees

There's also links which have neighbors saying they had a personal dispute. I'm not totally discounting the notion that this could have been politically motivated. I just find it odd that after 17 years, this guy suddenly loses it over their political differences. The most significant thing that Rand Paul has done politically over the past few months was opposing the GOP's latest healthcare bill.

So Islamist and left wingers killed 3,107 people and nationalists and right wingers killed 219. Sounds about right.

Oh I get it. I've had many spirited disputes about politics with my family and neighbors throughout the years, too. Of course, I also violently attacked and sometimes murdered those people (dude, please don't tell anyone), because obviously that's what you do.

lol. you are truly stupid. 😀

lump the foreign terrorists in with the leftwingers? also, you do know that islamist terrorist are rightwingers, right? You get that, right?

you just use whatever your "good" and "bad" guys are, and that's how things work in your head?

The thing that triggered my reply was to vi edit's comment about people feeling under (un) represented and referring back to the shooting at the baseball field. Context is everything, my friend.

Vi's post that you replied to was an admixture of the baseball field shooting and the situation with Rand Paul. He seemed to be linking both to feelings of political disenfranchisement. If your reply only pertained to the baseball field shooting, then my reply wasn't applicable to what you were saying. I take it from what is above that you are now limiting your responsive comment to the baseball field shooting, which is fine. But you did refer to "giving someone a beatdown" which sounds like you were discussing the Paul situation...

Frankly, I've been crazy busy and haven't had a chance to keep up with the details on this as my comment above would imply. Last I heard anything about this, they were still looking for a motive. As for Ryan being a jerk and dumping his lawn waste, why didn't this guy try to resolve this years ago? File a complaint; sue his a**. He'd have a sympathetic hearing in many media outlets over this. I don't blame the guy for being upset, but ffs it's not worth going to jail.
