I imagine with an E6600, 2GB, and an 8800 GTX, and Vista, you will be able to play the game at 16x12 (or 16x10 for widescreen) with most settings on medium/high, no AA/AF. Again, that is an assumption based on what I have read.
The game is going to have capabilites, like SM4, that will take future video cards to run or "turn on."
Remember, when Far Cry was released, no system at stock speeds at least could run the game at 16x12 with high settings and AA/AF. And even later they added SM 3.0 which was even more demanding. The game still looked great at release, and I enjoyed playing through it at 10x7 with a 128MB ti4200.
Don't worry, if you have new, high-end hardware, Crysis will look great at release, even if you can't play it at "max" settings.</end quote></div>
That would be nice. I bet if you have SLI 8800 GTX or Ultra video cards you will be able to play Cyris with 4x FSAA and 16x AF with maximum settings on everything!</end quote></div>
Considering what I have read, that's not likely to be possible.
