What is the model of this FirePro?And why they released a FirePro version then?

W6400What is the model of this FirePro?
I sometimes wonder if dedicated encoder cards might make a comeback. With streaming the market is larger and with GPU shortages it's hard to get the encoders, especially at a reasonable price. Probably to much of the bottom of the market has been eaten by video cards though.View attachment 58655

RX 550 is superior in the encoding dept. If 6500 XT was supposed to be its replacement, it would have preserved the RX 550's basic capabilities. AMD is either pretending that gamers don't really have any need to encode or going forward, they will market encoding capabilities as a premium feature worthy of minimum RX 6600, RX 7600 etc.
The real kicker will be if RX 6500 or 6400 somehow launch WITH encoding capabilities.
Nah, just no need. I'd be really interested how Apple's hardware processing card sold. But its telling that they're touting I believe similar or superior processing capabilities of their SoC now and while they have some hardware processing blocks, I wouldn't think it'd be enough to provide what they say. I'm actually wondering if their card might've been running early version of their SoC or a chip made just from the video processing blocks?I sometimes wonder if dedicated encoder cards might make a comeback. A retail version hasn't been announced... yet.i just sat on my desk and there was a non oem RX6400 on it. When these things launched? lol
Well then, they are coming out soon because i have a retail boxed MSI RX6400 AERO ITX 4G on my hands right now.A retail version hasn't been announced... yet.
ETA on benchmarks?Well then, they are coming out soon because i have a retail boxed MSI RX6400 AERO ITX 4G on my hands right now.
I wouldn't be surprised if AMD doesn't send the 6400 out to reviewers.ETA on benchmarks?![]()
Yeah, that's why waiting anxiously for Shivansps to run some of his favorite benchmarks.I wouldn't be surprised if AMD doesn't send the 6400 out to reviewers.
Curious on price. Anything?Well then, they are coming out soon because i have a retail boxed MSI RX6400 AERO ITX 4G on my hands right now.

Under 150$.Curious on price. Anything?
Its sub 60W GPU.Just great, competition at the low-end for the GTX 1050 ti. What else did they cripple. If the RX 6400 isn't purely slot-powered, it has no point.
But how many of the cards will we see without needing PCI-E power, versus AIB "overclocked" (by 25Mhz core clock) cards sporting a power connector, like it's something that makes a video card more "powerful".Its sub 60W GPU.
Im pretty sure 99.99999% of those AIB cards won't have 6 pin connector. But how many of the cards will we see without needing PCI-E power, versus AIB "overclocked" (by 25Mhz core clock) cards sporting a power connector, like it's something that makes a video card more "powerful".
- The 6400 STS XTREME 3D VR Edition - 300mm PCB - 3.5 slot 450W cooler - first ever OCTO fan cooling - new 16 pin PCI-E power connector - 76W power consumption just so it exceeds PCI-E spec - 25Mhz AIB OC - MSRP $300.But how many of the cards will we see without needing PCI-E power, versus AIB "overclocked" (by 25Mhz core clock) cards sporting a power connector, like it's something that makes a video card more "powerful".
It is slot powered, but the pcb has the holes for a 6-pin connector, maybe it shares the pcb with a 6500xt model.Just great, competition at the low-end for the GTX 1050 ti. What else did they cripple. If the RX 6400 isn't purely slot-powered, it has no point.
What would be really interesting, would be 8GB variants of the RX 6500 and 6400, and the 6400 8GB still not needing a PCI-E connector. Holy heck, that would SELL. 8GB and no PCI-E power. Has that ever been done before, in the consumer space? It is slot powered, but the pcb has the holes for a 6-pin connector, maybe it shares the pcb with a 6500xt model.
You'll get 6 GB and no 6 pin connector with A380What would be really interesting, would be 8GB variants of the RX 6500 and 6400, and the 6400 8GB still not needing a PCI-E connector. Holy heck, that would SELL. 8GB and no PCI-E power. Has that ever been done before, in the consumer space?
I was thinking of that, actualy. "Doesn't Intel have a 6GB card with no PCI-E coming out"?You'll get 6 GB and no 6 pin connector with A380.
32 bit memory channel then.![]()
AMD is preparing Radeon RX 6300 entry-level card for OEMs - VideoCardz.com
AMD rumored to release a low-end Radeon RX 6300 GPU According to the new rumor, AMD could launch a third desktop Navi 24 graphics card very soon. The rumor surfaced yesterday after Komachi Ensaka noticed AMD is preparing a new model, according to the changes introduced to AMD software. This is...videocardz.com
AMD making a 6300 now too. OEM only most likely. It's probably the same as the 6300M - the infinity cache is cut to 8 MB and the memory is a measly 2 GB.
