I don't really care how he votes. My issue is with the argument that maintaining the status quo is a neutral or centrist position. Even the farthest right Republican (of any reasonable intelligence) knows that the question is not that we will change but what we will change into. That's why they're so afraid of 'woke.'Greenman is not a Republican.
He's playing devils advocate.
Less-Greenman-specific, one of the biggest problems America is dealing with right now is that something like half (if not more) of the Cold War-era generations (myself included) were taught Millennialism doctrine. And now it's 2023 and He hasn't returned and they might have to die of old age instead. Worse still, instead of an "end times" highly specific as to be "eternal life" for their immediate culture, that America's true future is something terrifyingly grander.
Now that might just be me projecting my Mormon childhood, but I think it's more than that.
