Each cig takes 7 minutes off average expected life span...not counting the time wasted getting the weed and smoking it. First time I quit was 20 yrs ago, gave it up cold turkey no problem. 5 yrs ago, though I would remind my wife how nasty habit is (she still smokes) and became hooked again. Despite many cases nicorette, patches, Zyban, hypnosis, its much harder now.
"Im gonna quit even if it kills me LOL"
Personally I believe we get hooked on bodies endogenous endorphins. Think about it, if you calculated the actual surface area of respiratory tract, you expose a huge number of epidermal cells to toxins, first response of body towards any insult is pain mediation. You get hooked to the influx of endorphins and enkaphalins released by each puff. Of course, there are myriad of physical, emotional, social reasons we smoke. I think I'm gonna have to quit all the cues.
After a meal, drink, coffee, cola, sex, work, what do you do...you smoke. I figure if I quit all those, then I'll be a happy man and can quit tobacco.
Infernal nasty wicked devilweed! Why in heck did I ever try it again????
EDIT: Keep it up, YOU can do it. And your body will appreciate it.
If all men realized the shrinkage and performance hit on virility from smoking, they'd have to lie even more!
