Alright, I'll bite.

If your kid is well-behaved enough to be quiet and not be obnoxious, by all means, bring them out. However, if your kid is loud, annoying, and just generally being a little shit, GTFO of the restaurant. I pay for someone to cook, serve, and clean up my dinner, NOT to listen to some kid scream and cry.

QFT.

This entire thread can be summed up w/ this post alone.

For all those parents who say "I don't give a shit/fuck about what you think, I'm bringing my kids to any restaurant I want to", please read the quoted post above.

I hate it when parents don't control their children and allow them to misbehave and disturb others around them. This includes loud annoying kids at restaurants, kids running around in the streets, kids throwing shit all over the place at walmart (or similar store).

Hell, I almost hit a little kid (probably 3 years old) while driving under 10mph in a parking lot looking for a space. He was so small I barely saw him in front of me until just like a foot away I saw him jumping around while playing. You know what his damn mother did? Not a goddamn thing. She saw what nearly happened, and all she did was look at the kid and slowly walk over to him and finally grabbed his hand to walk him the rest of the way to the store. The whole thing of almost hitting the kid nearly gave me a heart attack.

Point is, FUCKING control your kids or something bad could happen.

Lets make it very simple, I and many other don't give a crap what other think. You don't like eating there, go home or go to another restaurant. No one will tell me at what place i can eat at, just because you don't want to hear baby crying. So deal with, it as simple as that.

So what if I have horrible gas that smells like I'm digesting my own, feces and I walk up to your table and rip the nastiest farts ever right in your face every 3 minutes for the duration of your dining experience? Who the fuck are you to tell me where to fart? It's not illegal.

People put up with it for two minutes, and then the college kids take matters into their hands and pretty much embarrass and mock the people out of the theater with some pretty ugly taunts. Sometimes, the father will stand up and attempt to shout back, "Who the hell was that?"

Next thing you know, there's a wave of STFUs from 10 discrete points in the hall. Always love it when that happens. :D

I would just tell everyone to STFU and ignore you for the rest of the movie. After 10 min, they will get tired of screaming stfu them self and will just ignore the crying baby.

Then I would play some gangster rap music on my iphone with the volume all the way up and hold it against up to your ear.

and i and others would go to the managment and get your ass thrown out.

Takeing a child to a R rated movie is just insane. many ones around here will NOT allow you to do that. it disrupts the movie for the ADULTS paying for the movie.

While i agree that kids NEED to be taken to resturants (they need to learn how to behave and that a resturant is diffrent from home) i would never dream of takeing my child to a adult movie. But when my child cry's in the resturant (again i don't take them to pure adult places. a good place like ruby tuesday's is perfect for them) i take them out. they then recieve punishment for acting out.

you are the type of parent that these people are bitching about. one that does not give a shit about anyone but yourself.

Sense of entitlement for the lose.

It should embarrass you that your offspring are out of control and bothering other people. If it doesn't then that means you are insensitive and socially malformed. Seems everyone gets caught up in the "well, I'll have you know that I have the right to [insert obnoxious, insensitive action]". I have the right to do lots of stuff too. I also have the sense not to do the ones that piss people off.

Well common courtesy is something you can control. Common sense is just something you happened to be born without. Nobody is blaming you for that.

exactly. i work hard at teaching my kids right from wrong and how to act in public.

my children are very well behaved. We usually get comments on how well behaved they are in resturants. But the kids also know when they if they act up in public there is heck to pay whent hey get home And if they are good they get rewards.
