I will not forget how some companies are treating their employees though (such as mine).. and I am getting my resume together and starting to look.. not that the chances of finding anything else are good in my area right now, but at least I'll be prepared to run for the door once things bounce back.

I would think so too, I know exactly why theyre doing it though. Their hands are tied because they are down from their full compliment of 37 to 18. It is also a gub-mint job and they wouldn't think of firing me ever.

You're going to need to either move or rent a room to live in during your work week, that kind of commute isn't doable over the long term.

That's a long assed commute. Don't know why you would expect the complaint about it to be quick. Hard to imagine any employer expecting you maintain that for more than a few days.
