Why are handheld people always like this. It's a 60W chip that exceeds 50dBA in a dual fan laptop. Sounds optimal for handhelds.TheCrimsonStudio-Mint said:if only they could put these into android handhelds for gamenative and gamehub
Seeing this on many other reviews too. Any review that reports CB2026 results?
Quite a solid offering there. Especially with 48GB of memory and an OLED display.![]()

I found another review with 2026 figures as well

While no specifics were given, a couple of reviews noted significant advances in compatibility. The issues people had with the first gen Qualcomm wasn't the performance it was that they sucked as an actual Windows PC. Running benchmarks on it isn't telling people if they've fixed the driver and compatibility issues that caused so many returns in the 1st gen.
48GB for $1599 is a steal. You wil likely make more money on it if you keep for a couple of months and then sell it on ebayScrew it, I'll order one. Zenbook A16 has the right amount of memory for the price and decent performance.
Hopefully I can cope with Windows (especially -on-Arm) on a laptop. If not, it'll be sent back.
I ordered it at $1600 and they already handed it over to FedEx. Too late for Asus to alter the terms of the deal now.48GB for $1599 is a steal. You wil likely make more money on it if you keep for a couple of months and then sell it on ebay
Often when they brag about a laptop being light it means it'll feel cheap and have a smaller battery than it should. Those look a bit flimsy. A16 should have come with larger battery - now there's just empty space. It feels like A14 in bigger chassis.
SM3.1 performance figures are interesting. They do align with those in the reviews, however the reference device with X2E-96-100 would achieve 50+ (and yes, that's Edge, but its perf shouldn't be all that different from Chrome). Curious as to what's happening here. Would you mind trying SM3.1 with Edge?It really sucks in Firefox. About 1/2 the score of a 9950X3D in Speedometer 3.1. Does okay in Chromium-based browsers. ~40 compared to ~50 for 9950X3D. It is a laptop, however, and it feels responsive so far despite that.
