The issues people had with the first gen Qualcomm wasn't the performance it was that they sucked as an actual Windows PC. Running benchmarks on it isn't telling people if they've fixed the driver and compatibility issues that caused so many returns in the 1st gen.
While no specifics were given, a couple of reviews noted significant advances in compatibility.
 
Screw it, I'll order one. Zenbook A16 has the right amount of memory for the price and decent performance.
Hopefully I can cope with Windows (especially -on-Arm) on a laptop. If not, it'll be sent back.
48GB for $1599 is a steal. You wil likely make more money on it if you keep for a couple of months and then sell it on ebay
 
Those look a bit flimsy. A16 should have come with larger battery - now there's just empty space. It feels like A14 in bigger chassis.

Often when they brag about a laptop being light it means it'll feel cheap and have a smaller battery than it should.

The Lenovo models look to be better built but they cost more.
