ill also add ive seen far more problems stemming from alcohol use than any other drug..i know this is in part becuase its readily available and socially acceptable...but as far as being drunk? spinning rooms, walking on all fours..doing ****** you would never dream of on any other drug.
ive seen heroin turn people into breathing corpses, ive seen alcohol turn people into would be murderers,rapists, robbers..u name it.

Why do people have to clarify it with 'If weed is a drug then so is alcohol'. Alcohol is a drug. Marijuana is a drug. Nicotine is a drug. Tylenol is a drug. Caffeine is a drug.

Biochemically, yes, it is a drug, and so are many substances, like caffeine, guarana, triptophane (sp?), etc., that are commonly used. However, alcohol is far more destructive to the body, though I still don't think it should be prohibited.

Legally, I wouldn't classify it as such, especially not as an illicit drug (nor would I want marijuana, cocaine [not crack], LSD, or MDMA classified as such, but they are). Same as I wouldn't legally classify tobacco as a drug, but in effect and usage, it most definitely is.
