Question, if you have a PSP, but it's never been online, can you go online with it and get the PSP games? Or did you have to go online with it prior to Sony getting haxed and pulling PSN?

Or, alternatively, can you download the PSP games to the PS3 and then transfer them to the PSP?

You need to have a PSN account that was created before it went down. I think you also need to have previously associated your PSP with that account to get the PSP games.

Ok. The reason I ask is because my sister has a PSP and a PSN account on the PS3, which was created so I could buy her FF8 as a birthday gift. She's transferred the game from the PS3 to the PSP, but never had her PSP online.

I tried to get infamous this morning but when I clicked to purchase it went through but I did not download it. I did the same thing for super stardust and it downloaded immediately. I don't know how to go back and get the game now. The options have disappeared.

Anyone know of a fix?

Same thing happened to me. This fix worked:

On your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable navigate to the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB
Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed
Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”

It sounds like you didn't know how to play it? No disrespect, but it's pretty easy to control. I knew what type of game it was going into it, though, but I think the graphics are just fine 😛. Keep in mind too that it's just a $15 indy game, while Infamous and LBP were at one time full fledged $60 physical media games.

DN is easily worth $15, and it's even sweeter that I got it for free.

My problem was with the aiming it went either left or right blowing past anything even close to straight ahead.

Plus the top down 1999 graphics isn't my thing even if the controls were usable.

Transfering the game from the PlayStation 3 is probably good enough to get the PSP associated with the account. It keeps track of which devices, PSP or PS3, are authorized to play the game. Have her log in to PSN, either on the PSP, your PS3 or on the PC with Media Go, and see if she can get the free games. It should be easy enough, though she'll have to go through the password reset procedure.

Has anyone played both Dead Nation and Zombie Apocalypse to compare? I played the ZA trial for a round or two and decided not to pay the $5 Gold sale price, but reviews seem to say that DN is ZA minus the suck.

How's everyone's general performance so far?

I still get lots of error messages, and some occasional lock ups. Signing in to PSN fails about 50% of the time.

Netflix still wont update for me; I'm actually thinking of canceling it because I mostly watch Xfinity on demand now anyway.

Push the stick to the max of it's travel and run it around the outside edge. Much easier to aim like that.

As for being a gfx whore, I can't help you with that. DN's graphics fit it's gameplay and style perfectly, imo.

so I canceled the Infamous download and re-started it fine up until it hit 1GB it froze again at exactly 1055 MB just like before, is it possible I ran out of HDD space? How can I check if I did?

If it keeps freezing like that, you might want to call PS3 customer service.

I've already received my rewards (LBP & Inf) but I am a Plus member so my name needs to be on all the boxes in the house....

Man I hope it works. I had a similar problem. Tried to download the two free ps3 games (first select the free game icon then pick the particular game) but neither downloaded. Yet when going back to pick again, there was no option to download a free game. Ironically, there was no problem downloading the two free psp games. But that doesn't help since I don't have a psp. Whatver.

The free games are tied to the account, so if you're saying you have one PSN account and two consoles, you only get two free games.

Spanish police arrest 3 from "Anonymous" over PlayStation hacking


MADRID, June 10, 2011 (Reuters) — Spanish police arrested three suspected members of the so-called "Anonymous" group on Friday on charges of cyber-attacks against targets including Sony's PlayStation network, governments, businesses and banks.

The police said the accused, arrested in Almeria, Barcelona and Alicante, were guilty of coordinated computer hacking attacks from a server set up in a house in Gijon in the north of Spain.

Spanish police alleged the three arrested "hacktivists" had been involved in the recent attack on Sony's PlayStation online gaming store which crippled the service for over a month, as well as cyber-attacks on Spanish banks BBVA and Bankia and the Italian energy group Enel.

Members of the loosely coordinated "Anonymous" group, known for wearing Guy Fawkes masks made popular by the graphic novel "V for Vendetta," had also hacked government sites in Egypt, Algeria, Lybia, Iran, Chile, Colombia and New Zealand, police said.

"They are structured in independent cells and make thousands of simultaneous attacks using infected 'zombie' computers worldwide. This is why NATO considers them a threat to the military alliance," the police said in a statement.

"They are even capable of collapsing a country's administrative structure."

The arrests are the first in Spain against members of the "Anonymous" group following similar legal proceedings in the United States and Britain.

The police did not rule out further arrests.
