Dare I say one of the best MM episodes... EVER?
Interesting to hear you say that. I LOVE the show too but on balance I thought it was the weakest episode of the season. I will have to rewatch it and see what I think the second time through. I did like seeing handjob Peggy and Roger on acid, but once we were stuck on the Don-and-Megan-go-to-Howard-Johnson storyline I thought it kind of went flat.

Interesting that you say it went flat with Don/Meagan. I think it was superb as Meagan clearly isn't a pushover like Betty and she sees straight through Don. We also see that she values her work, even though he doesn't seem to value his work right now.
On top of that, we see that Don doesn't value her "place" in the company and feels that he can treat her like of his previos flings and slink off on a getaway with no consequences.
Not to mention Don's spiral into panic and despair when Meagan goes missing -- the likes of which we haven't seen since Betty found out his "secret". And the "Here's Johnny" rage after his quick "relief" once he realized she was home and safe.
Rage door kick, furious, maniacal chase through the apartment; the groveling.
This was a great episode all around IMHO.
I've never done lsd... but having observed people on it while sober myself, it felt pretty accurate. The LSD scene was pathetic. Just a bunch of cliches written by people who seemingly have never done LSD.

All the hallucinations that Roger had were of the made up cliche movie/tv style, rather than real hallucinations. The russian choir when the bottle was open, the hair, Bert on the dollar, don in the mirror, seeing the world series in the bathroom. That shit happens in tv, but not in real life lsd trips.
It's called symbolism and subtext. If it was just random pointless bullshit hallucination that you get on a real acid trip it would be a waste of the viewer's time. Mad Men doesn't waste the viewer's time.
Geeez.... they were on drugs. Whatever. They did the standard hollywood/TV trip-out. Sorry that they didn't consult a genuine LSD addict.
The whole point of the scene (and plot device) was that they would loosen their inhibitions, reveal their true feelings for each other, and end the marriage. Who f*cking cares?

Awesome episode, had a little bit of everything. Roger getting a BJ at the end was just icing on the cake haha.
