The rest of games you listed aren't big and most are no game title that more of gimmicky game. Funny thing is that PS3 don't have one good rpg coming out this year and 360 has 4 major RPG coming out.

There is so much misinformation in there I don't know where to start.

As far as Blue Dragon, it is a flop considering all the talent involved in the game. It received mediocre reviews from EGM as well as IGN. The game should have been much better. And the boss music is just ridiculous.

Add Unreal Tournament, Haze, and Time Crisis 4 to that list. Eternal Sonata BTW, was added to ESRB rating under PS3 as well, so it's on the way. Mass Effect looks great, but I will wait and see if Lost Odyssey lives up to the hype since Blue Dragon didn't live up to Hironobu and Uematsu's other legendary products.

Blue Dragon problem was that it wasn't finished. The 1st DVD (1st 15hrs) of the game was so lame but the 2nd half of game was pure awesome. Most editor never even finished the game expect for some. Most of EGM eidtors didn't bother to finish the game which makes a little angry because all they talked about in their review was the 1st half of the game. But if you read IGN review which tells a totally different story. The game had alot of innovation and if they had another year to work on Blue dragon it would have been an total awesome game finished game. Microsoft made them push it out because they needed something bad for Japaneses market. You can get the Asian version which is English version of the game and play the game like i did. UT2007 is a multiplayer game was never have been epicily famous like Sony and their fanboy would like to believe. More people were playing Desert combat a BF1942 mod then UT2004 when it was released. UT series was going the way of Dinosaurs. Also epic has done some good online exclusive UT game for original xbox and they were never famous. The only reason its got so much hype is because of Unreal 3.0 engine. See back in 2004 when Microsoft was dealing with epic to make a title for 360 they wanted epic to create a new ip. Then the person doing the deal screwed up and agreed to let epic own the ip. That IP was gears of war which would later on help increase Unreal 3.0 engine license by 800% and also becomes Microsoft Major 360 title and also Microsoft nightmare. Microsoft doesn't own the IP for gears of War so epic can release it on PS3 and Microsoft can't do anything about it. Also Microsoft spent over 150 million marketing the crap out of Gears of War which Epic could never do own its own. Spending 150million on marketing Gears of War in epic mind was spending 150million dollars on Unreal 3.0 engine which made it hell alot of easier to sell the engine. They also used that hype and marketing power to promote UT2007 which brought back the huge hype for the series. Thats why when you see the UT2007 adds you see "From Makers of Gears of War". All thanks to Microsoft Epic got everything they wanted and loads of cash for making sure Gears of War never see the light or day on PS3. Also more cash for the Gears of War 2 & 3.

Haze now this game i will have to see but currently read the perview which basically say the game is good but we will have to wait to see what it turns out to be as finished product. Also the game was 1st announced as 360 exclusive at X05 but then Microsoft never tried to keep it a exclusive.

Blue Dragon I might pick up, but the demo left me unimpressed, although it's hard to get a feel for an RPG from a Demo, so I'll cut it some slack.

I beleive you have some of your facts wrong about GoW. I was reading an interview with one of the Epic guys, and he said that Microsoft owns the GoW IP, so it will never be on the PS3.

Definitely Mass Effect is the game I'm most looking forward to this year.

Nope Microsoft doesn't own the IP !! Microsoft wished they did. Microsoft never really wanted epic to release Gears of War on PC so soon as they wanted potential 360 buyer to have more reason to buy the console.

For a so good info on upcoming games go to Circuit City web site and look up game for the PS 3. click on the Metal gear solid game and then Video's it will bring up a long movie steam on the PS3 and there upcoming games this next year I belive they said 120 new titles for 2008 already slated to come out.
Heck get a PS3 and a XBOX 360 later on, that way you will have 2 good gaming systems and have both HD format wars solved if you get the HD add on for the 360.

If you haven't heard of Folklore (Folk Soul in JPN), you will. It's flown under the radar for a while, but is going to get big soon.

I've watched the trailer and played the JPN demo and think that it's great (even though I can't read moon language). The US demo is supposed to be coming out soon.

Folklore looks to be a game play cross between Kingdom Hearts and Resident Evil 2 (2 characters with intertwining stories).

In the upcoming years, as devs get used to PS3, the lack of high capacity optical and internal storage are going to start biting the 360 in the ass.

i was playin super stardust last night a lot and watched a movie for the first time on the PS3. the upconversion is excellent! and super stardust ... damn that game is hard and addictive!

"Forced inclusion of the $-ray drive" was a brilliant move for Sony (at least IMO), unlike MS which only thinks of the short-term for:

1. Making unreliable 360s
2. No HDD with Core pack
3. No HD-DVD right from the very beginning
4. No HDMI from the very beginning

The inclusion of Blu-Ray was brilliant IMHO. With the $350 deal that is going on you can't touch the value you get. Blu-Ray + Next Gen gaming? That's a good deal over what the Xbox offers. And it's not like it's a crappy "oh by the way" deals. By most accounts the quality of the playback is excellent.

I've never been one of the "Another nail in the coffin for "XY" format" people...but I really think Blu-Ray has the upper hand. Every PS3 console comes with it, the online rental support, instore support at Blockbuster, ect. If I had to put my paycheck down on which one I felt was going to "win", it pains me to say it...but Sony is probably going to walk away after the dust settles.

That's possible, but the vast majority of 360 owners have a HDD, so it will operate just like any other DLC, just they can make it free.

Epic did state they wanted to ship something like 25 to 30 maps, but the UT games don't have a single player do they? If you don't have all the storyline related maps, thats a bunch of disc space freed up.

Yes, there are single player tournaments you can do. Not storyline per say though.
