Prom - how do people not get laid?

I am not talking about the dudes that think it's still cool not to like girls and just show up to cause problems.

How can you take a date to a prom (talking high school, not junior high...although for some this applies younger) and not end up in a car, house or room?

I have been hearing peoples plans and experiences left and right now and I swear I'd have killed myself knowing that was all I was looking at.

I am sure someone out there is planning to get to prom, get out as quick as possible to go home and play GTA4...meanwhile their chick told her friends "tonight is the night"

One girl and I broke up just before, the other was scared of sex and I'm not into manipulating people. I don't know if she ever lost her virginity, but I'm glad I didn't "convince" her to.

Some people just don't find these artificial formalized situations all that special. I know I didn't give a damn about prom, but ended up going because everyone else was. Didn't make it special in any way.

Oh, and I was registering for classes during prom just a few days ago at my university orientation. Prom wasn't too big of a deal for me

My gf and I didn't go to prom. Dweebs and nerds went to prom.
We went to dinner then fucked on the beach. Another couple were walking along the beach and got pretty close to us. When they realized what was happening the turned around and walked away, giggling. (no they didn't see my junk)
