Pro-Choice or Pro-Life (to kill or not to kill?, should that be the question, is that the question?

You are just asking for it.

Like anyone is going to NOT express their opinion.
I predict a very heated argument, very soon.

I have had internal conflicts about this for a long time. On the one hand I dont believe that abortion is the correct answer in most cases. On the other, I am all for personal freedoms. I guess my answer is I dont know, depends on the situation.

Nothing is black and white, but in the vast majority of cases I'd say life. This thread is destined to turn into a flame war, almost all the others in the past have.

I think you can edit your post and add a poll. I'm not gonna jump in until it gets heated. I don't need any warming up. ;)

No, I don't believe in abortion. I think its morally wrong to kill a life (no matter what form it takes).

Pro-Life

But I believe the FDA and pharmaceutical companies are to blame for a lot of the fuss about abortion. Compared to European countries, the US is stuck in the middle ages when it comes to birth control. There are so many new and safe birth control devices/drugs out there that its crazy that the US has barely any of them. Especially when US companies are developing and testing them here, and then selling them only overseas.

Hmmm....maybe you can get with Elledan and HpKeeper on this one and sort this out for us too.

Smacks of the previous "kill all mental people at birth" thread...

Mostly choice. The only thing I have a problem with is people who get pregnant and use abortion as a means of birth control. I knew a girl who had mulitple abortions and I mean mulitple. But if my wife or daughters were raped and became pregnant no I would not make them have a baby. Especially if it was my wife. In instances where the child may be retarded or born with a serious birth defect I would be against abortion. It is not my responsibility. I don't want to tell someone else what to do with their unborn children. Because when they are born I have no intentions on being resposible to take care of them. It depends on the situation.

I'm with Isla on this. Like said by ltk007, this case isn't black/white.

A few points:

> Abortion can not and will not be banned
> if abortion would be prohibited, it would continue anyway
> in some cases abortion will save the mother's life
> not abortion, but mating should be regulated. This will prove to be far more effective than regulating abortion
> From a clinical point of view, abortion is a necessity, not a choice
> There still isn't any proof that every life is valuable

I'm pro-life...people are to stupid to decide who lives or who dies.

I do understand the arguement that abortion should be extended to the age of 18 though. That way if your kid doesn't turn out so good you can just have a very late abortion.
