Abortion violates the inalienable human rights of the soon to be born. We hold this truth to be self evident. No opinion, just truth.

the question isn't whether it is your choice or not. It is whether the baby is an actual human when it is in the womb. If you believe that it is a human, then of course your going to not believe abortion is OK. and vice versa. If you want to say "it's my choice, my personal freedom", well isn't it YOUR choice to go out and kill somebody? That is why it boils down to whether it is a human or not.

>>Choice. My body, my decision. Nobody else's<<

Ah... Happy...

Your arm or your leg... that's part of your body.
You want to flush em down the toilet, have at it...

A baby? Nope, a baby is not your body
to mutilate if you so choose.

I'm pro death.. I would have a different view if I was a religious person though.. How could you end pregnancy without being %110 positive it wasn't right.

If its my own life, then I choose life. If its someone elses, then its thier choice. If they are not able to choose for themselves, then its the responsibility of the gaurdian. It could be an unborn child or a person on life support. Its not my choice if they live or die, because its not my life or a life that I am responsible for.
oh, and I'm a libertarian.

Pro-Choice. It should always be the decision of the person who would have the abortion. But they need to make it have to be done by the half way mark rather than before the 3rd trimester. My uncle was born just short of 6 months and is currently 54, so I would consider it murder at that late in the pregnancy.

Pro-Life in most cases (if it would save the life of the mother, I am for abortion, and undecided in the case of rape and incest). THose who you the arguement "my body, my life...etc" are not seeing the side of those who are pro-life. I can't see when a fetus becomes a baby, and when it is not. I don't belive killing a baby is an ok thing to do. So... abortion to me is like killing a baby. By saying "my body, my choice" all that translates to me is "my choice to kill if I want to." I am not arguing whether it is a womens body. I am saying that it is a baby and killing it would be wrong. You convince me it isn't a baby, and I will go along with abortion being ok.

BTW... lets keep this thread civil, if possible.

Let's heat this up a bit...

For all you pro-choicer's (and I haven't "taken sides"), here is the scenario:

girl gets pregnant. doesn't want the baby.
the guy does.

What then??

I'm very conservative on this. No hand outs, no welfare, no free medical. Cut it out and if it survives on it's own, fine. It's just not fair to make women support people who won't work for a living, and like Ornery, I don't want to support um either.

Z24, genetic engineering should soon make it possible for men to have the babies. This will end the abortion issue. Fundamentalists like me will be able to go down to the clinic and have the aborted fetuses transfered over so we can bring them to term. The lines are gonna be huge.

>>The way I see it your rants mean sh!t because they are only words without any actions to back them up! If you were really concerned for these unborn children then you could actually make a difference. Do you, do any of you? If you don't then all your talk is cheap and means jack squat! You aren't any better than those you label Baby Killers, in fact you are worse because you sir are a hypocrite to the highest degree!<<

Another of Red's Famous Diatribes that sound good at first,
but are totally worthless when subjected to reason.

Do I have to be a cabinet maker
to see that the carpenter put the door on crooked?

(Almost as misleading as calling it "Pro Choice"
instead of "Pro Baby Killing".)

i really dislike the terms 'pro-choice' and 'prolife'; however, if i am asked to pick one, i would go with pro-choice. whatever is in a mother's womb is not a human being until it is born. baby killer would be one who kills him/her after the birth, not even before the baby was born.

I guess if your idea held water Moonbeam a mom could apply the same technique to a newborn. Just throw it out into the world and let it fend for itself. Something tells me if you were on the jury in her trial, you'd vote to convict for child endangering etc.
