man, i have my duron 650 oc to 1000 (stable)...but my roomie's comp (a 650t-bird) still goes faster. I'm gonna buy a t-bird as soon as newegg's prices drop...thanx for the post.

AMD might be looking to stop making the 900GHz processor soon,which might explain the new price cuts.

i hope they start making 900Ghz chips. hahahahaa...that will be the day
 
if anyone has pointed out that newegg.com has these for $72 plus $10 shipping, sorry for the double post.

I mention this, not to rain on this post, but, because someone mentioned that the original price is now considerably higher.

Highest people have gotten the Thunderbird to is around 1.5Ghz, but it all depends on the luck of the draw with the chip. Some are more overclockable than others.
 
You can do a LOT more than 1060 with a 1GHz T-bird if you got a decent chip. Try higher. 1.33GHz is relatively common if you get one with the AXIA stepping.
