Uh ok. Don't mind me who was a part of it. Also don't mind the fact that this isn't about the person - the movement is/was about a subset of libertarian/Conservative ideals.
From your perspective that is probably true. I just remember the MSM showing those Perot supporter ladies in tears after he pulled out. To someone not actively part of Perot`s grassroots movement, it seemed his dropping out was a death knell. I also recall his numbers took a dive and never recovered.

Even some of the Fox reporters think this doesnt make sense.

At ~3:06 Shep says: "How do we know he won't win" Susan replies: "Oh we'll fix that one"

Greta is talking at the same time, so you have to listen.

🙁

What we have here is the New Republican party trying to destroy the leftover, real conservatism from it's remnants.

When both parties are wishing to further enlarge the power of the federal government, at the expense of the people and the states, we should know we are in dire trouble.

Susan Estrich is a liberal legal political/legal analyst. She was the first female to head a national presidential campaign (Dukakis) ..."We" is referring to the American voter. RonPaulbots will try to spin this and try to say that "We" means the "republican machine/fox news".

She is a democratic operative and Clinton supporter that works for Fox news as a political and legal analyst.

When she says "we'll fix that one" she we'll means Democratic party.

Absolutely brilliant post, DM.
Spinning her comments while acusing RPers of the same (even though none have) in a pre-emptive strike.

You`re worth every cent they pay you to be here!

🙂

BTW, your "liberal media bias" campaign, also brilliant.

So are they letting RP back into the debate? Dude finishes in what is basically a three way tie for third in Iowa... hard to exclude him from the NH debate now.

Let them exclude Ron Paul from their little debate. I bet it will backfire in their faces in NH. Watch and see.

Uh-huh. Just like Iowa.......right?

Marked for later.

No, even after threats from the NH GOP.

Waaaaaaaaaaait a second here. I thought it was the NH GOP that wasn't letting him in, and FOX was helpless here.

It's fox's decision. NH is one of RP strongholds and many do want him to be there.

It may be fox's decision but its a decision that fox cannot make to exclude a viable candidate if fox wants to be credible.

Given that Iowa is not a Ron Paul stronghold, a 10% of the vote showing smacks of censorship.

The fox network can host political debates and still be credible, but it can't now exclude Ron Paul and still be credible. And Fox should have its FCC license yanked if they try to pull that stunt.

Please do mark it for later. As a matter of fact I predicted both winners (like that was a stretch of the imagination) flackbee and osama. I was thinking Paul would finish 3rd, but he came in 5th but within 2,000 votes of what I expected. NH OTOH, is Ron Paul territory where you will see strong support, putting him at the top two. Mark my words and be prepared to eat crow or throw it in my face whichever holds true.

lemon law- Fox can do what they want, and they should be allowed to, but it's every supporter's right to show their disapproval.

No it doesn't, he's under 5% (4%, I think) nationally, as an average, according to RCP.

Alas, as in the past, he shall continue as a loser.

I already left comments in the Fox blogs ... all of 'em ... stirred up the Paulbots a little too.

If nothing else he brings actual debate to the debates, the rest of the candidates just dance around the questions and give the normal bullshit answers that we've been hearing for so many years. I guess you're happy with that.....I guess we really do deserve the government that we get.

To clarify my position, I am not a Ron Paul supporter and am extremely unlikely to vote for him. But anytime a candidate can shows 10% in Iowa, to censor said candidate is not good idea or fair.

But I do believe in free speech and fair play. To censor the ideas of anyone is always a bad idea. If Ron Paul ideas flop in the marketplace of ideas, all well and fine, but there is something unAmerican and dangerous in not allowing the free expression of those ideas.

And somewhat unlike Ron Paul, I believe a television network holds a public trust that they must uphold to retain their license. Given the rather obvious political bias of the fox network, they are skating on thin ice as it is.
