Well now that we have reports of both sides flying down to Ole Miss.

Should be on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, MSNBC, CNN and others. Scheduled start is 9 and most will probably have a pre-game analysis starting 30-60 minutes prior. Topic is National Security/foreign policy but expect a heavy dose of economics slipped in.

One site I've found that is streaming it:

Just click guess then live debates.
What kind of pre-game activities are we going to have??

And do we get shots the cheer leaders as well??

Perhaps the Republicans can set up a "Lip stick on Pig Roast" or something.

I also think they should break the questions into rounds and Sarah Palin could be the ring girl.
Think of all the fun we can have with this 🙂

I am disappointed that they didn't change the topic of tonight debate to domestic issue and then do the foreign policy debate last.
Everyone want to hear their views on this bailout FAR more than their plan to confront Hugo Chavez and his new Russian buddy.

Last note!!!!

Someone did an analysis of the last 4 elections and the debates post debate polls and found out that there has only been two times in which the polls moved more than 2 points post debate.

So we should not expect some kind of knock out blow by either side. However, there has been an accumulative effect over the course of the debates that have results in 3-4 point shifts. So it will most likely take a victory in all three debates for either candidate to really put the other away. Other wise we will end up going right down to the last moment.

The candidates probably didn't want that and sadly the candidates control the debates. They just spent a whole load of time preparing themselves for foreign policy. McCain needs to do well or at least decently tonight. He's sort of on the ropes right now and if he takes another couple good ones on the chin he might never recover. A month is an eternity in a campaign so anything could happen, but there aren't a lot of major events left for him to use to change the grim reality of the polls right now.

I predict a sound thumping on election day for McCain.

I once thought it was going to be a nail-biter. Then the last two weeks happened. McCain is going down like a...I'll skip the innuendo, but he's going down.

I wouldn't be too confident with the predictions just yet. Remember two weeks ago or so when everyone was talking about how Obama was in deep trouble? Well now he's in the driver's seat. A lot of things can happen in a month.

I've been reasonably sure that Obama was going to win from the beginning, but politics is way too murky to make much more than vague predictions.

Obama looks... different? don't know how to describe it, just different than the last time I was really paying attention to him.

if I hear wall st/main st one more time I'm going to rip my ears off.

I was about to type that same thing.

The BHO response was about as canned as you could get repeating what has already been said with a jab at bush/mccain at the end.

McCain is starting off by going off topic... who gives a fuck about fatty Kennedy going to the hospital again. Stay on topic!
