Whoever "wins" this debate is irrelevant. The fact is that THIS WOMAN is one heartbeat away from being the most powerful person in the world.

Mccain is 72 and the Presidency is a high stress job that tends to age people 3X faster than they otherwise would. I doubt he will make it through his first term. His choice of vice president was the first major decision after his nomination, and this choice speaks very poorly of his judgement.

Mccain doesn't go specific but at least he talks about it in his views without a total rehash of what everyone knows.

The mod then ask them now that they've both spoken would they like to answer his question :)

if she's really as stupid as you people keep saying, maybe the democrats will be able to outwit her and take back some of the power that Bush has built up in the executive branch.

McCain is going? Wow, I guess the "Maverick" will show up with his revolver to find that the "Outlaw" will be waiting with a sniper rifle and infrared scope. I.E., McCain is going to lose. very. badly. Can't wait.

Once you get to see obama unscripted you'll see what his real views are. Obama is going to get splattered and look like a fool. What's truly scary is he actually believes the crap coming out of his mouth.

Once you see that spidey has no brain of his own and only repeats spoonfed talking points, and that that is all the Republicans do and allow for, then you'll realize how scary and authoritarian the Republican party really is.
I've been wondering for a while if the Republicans are as bad as they seem. How can they be? Is it really possible? They do seem to be the party of the right wing, and the party of denial. They welcome you with open arms if you don't want to know the truth. Prevaricators wanted!

I have liberal leanings but I have to admit McCain takes the cake for the opening. He took the emotional heartfelt route and it worked. It made Barack look rather too cold and distant.

As you know, it doesn't matter how you answer the question to the avg independent viewers, it's all about composure and confidence.

I know how bad this is going to sound, but Obama looks blacker than usual.

Yeah, at least BHO hit the answer hard with his direct recovery plan.

Both of them are definitely going softly on the opening question, but I would agree as Mccain didn't stick as close to his prepared statement on it.

Oof, McCain used the "criminal issue or paternal issue" line again regarding the Montana pork spending.

Next one is about how if you were Pres how you would rule so that this wouldn't happen.

Mccain starts with cutting spending, talking bad about the repub party, and killing earmarks.
