Yes. With the excessive and increasing wealth concentration we have now, with the disproportionate benefit the rich get from government operations, its perfectly fair. Besides, when you take a look at total taxes levied, the bottom 50% do pay a much higher percentage of their income to the government (local, state, etc.)....which directly affects them much more in their daily lives. The bottom 50% feel the pain of taxation much more than those above the federal taxable income level. You can't squeeze blood from a turnip, ProfJohn.

The Tea Party were elected, and hold seats in the house and senate, only BECAUSE America was sick and tired of Government spending.

I don't know where you get off quoting "polls," because theoretically you understand we are a Republic, and people speak through their Representatives.

Its not that simple. You have poor paying taxes because they don't have dependents (qualifying kids). You have middle getting money back because they have dependents (qualifying kids).

Republicans have demonstrated that if they are allowed within a mile of governing, the result is a disaster for the US. So anyone who cares about this country should want an all Democrat government. They had full control and took this country from a balanced budget running prosperity to a brink of a great depression. They've had the filibuster in the Senate, the result is a weak recovery due to only half measures passing. They got the House, we are on the brink of default. There is simply no hope for this country if GOP has ANY role in governing it.
