President Obama endorses Hillary Clinton

Two days after Hillary Clinton secured enough delegates to be the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party, President Obama endorsed Clinton Thursday in a video. The two will campaign together next week in Wisconsin.

"I want to congratulate Hillary Clinton on making history," Obama says in the video. "I know how hard this job can be. That's why I know Hillary will be so good at it. I don't think there's ever been someone so qualified to hold this office."

this is probably the clearest sign yet that the indictment probably isn't going to happen.

if anyone was in a position to know something that the general public doesn't know it would be the President, and I can't imagine he'd tie himself to Hillary if he even remotely suspected that an indictment might be in the winds.

that is a very fair point to make. If she was even remotely in trouble, there wouldn't be an endorsement.

Hillary's already counter-trolling Trump.

Pretty much. Stand back & let it unfold, go with the winner. It's good for the Party.

When Bernie gets on board we'll be ready to massacre in three part harmony.

Now we start taking bets on who the veep's will be.
Louie Gohmert for drumpf, or maybe Tom Cotton

Martin O'Malley for hillary, or maybe, just maybe, bernie?

I suppose. I mean, I've never felt she was anywhere near getting indicted. But I suppose I could be wrong.

Maybe last night the USAG was tied to a chair in a room in some dark corner of the White House with a single light bulb in an Edison Screw spliced to some Romex coming out of the ceiling and the President was standing there sweaty in a white wife-beater and a pair of rolled up trousers with a bucket of vinegar and a vile of angry fire ants (are they ever --not-- angry?) saying "Well, Loretta, what are we going to do about our little email problem?"

I guess we'll never know. :\

You guys are buying into the rights bullshit narrative that the investigation is a sham and that the results will be dictated by the president.

If there were ever any sort of a hint of impartiality about the investigation or Obama or his administration trying to influence the outcome it would have been reported. To make such an insinuation with zero evidence is par for the course for the right.

I'm not saying Obama is influencing the investigation, I'm saying the investigation is influencing Obama.

he's a cautious guy, I can't see him endorsing Clinton without first putting out feelers to the FBI to see if that's a good idea or not... if he got a yellow light from the FBI, he could have come out saying he was going to stay neutral until the convention, or he could have given a merely perfunctory endorsement rather than a whole-hearted one.

There is not, and never was going to be an indictment. This is just Republicans clinging on to a hail mary pass since they know they are so disadvantaged at the ballot box in national elections.

After Vince Foster, anyone who think she will ever be indicted for anything is just a fool.

When they dropped the criminal charges against Petreous and plead him out on a misdemeanor, I knew Hillary's case was going no where.

Regarding the OP, what a shocker 🙂

If Hillary had to agree to a plea bargain on a misdemeanor charge it'd be disastrous to her campaign.

In order to say that you would have to believe that Obama is privy to information about the investigation. He is not nor should he be.

In the case of Patraeus though, he knowingly and intentionally gave access to classified information to a third party. Clinton did nothing even near that bad, it's looking like at worst she didn't properly follow State Department protocol

Not saying they're really very comparable cases, just if we're using this as a benchmark for the worst that could happen it's still pretty bad.

Phew, I'm glad the President is "in the know" for what his employees might do while under his command. Thanks for clarifying his role in the e-mail "investigation".

Exactly. Petraeus got a slap on the wrist for worse.

Hillary would probably suffer greatly for much less though. A mere indictment that where she isn't actually found guilty for anything afterwards (or accepting any pleas) would still hurt pretty badly.
