Not really, if anything he’s massively broken most of his biggest promises.

Hell, 3 of the 5 primary promises from your link are broken.

1) He not only failed to repeal the ACA, his actual promise was to get everyone better and cheaper health care while protecting people with pre-existing conditions. Instead he actively sabotaged people’s health insurance and is currently trying to remove protections for pre-existing conditions.

2) No wall, and Mexico laughed in his face about paying for it.

3) He did this, kind of, except he exempted a number of the actual exporters of terrorism. (Saudi Arabia)

4) Trump’s tax plain actually raises lots of people’s taxes in the long term. It only permanently cuts them for rich people.

5) He sure did!

Seems like a pretty horrendous record to me? I mean he’s actually doing the opposite of what he promises.

So, essentially not much that wasn't accomplished without an EO. The few significant accomplishments, like the tax cut, should've been labeled a broken promise given the Repubs. are now claiming they're going to introduce an actual middle class tax cut next year, so that means the $1.5T wasn't for the middle class at all, right?

Oh, and the SC justices. That's about it for serious accomplishments......

1) Repealing Obamacare is ‘in the works’? It’s dead as a door nail and you know it. As I said though, Trump’s broken promise here is much worse than just not repealing the ACA. He actively drove up people’s health care prices and tried to remove pre-existing condition protections.

It’s not just a broken promise because he failed, he did the opposite.

2) Making Mexico pay for the wall? Dead as a door nail and you know it.

3) ‘Compromise’ on the tax cut bill is ridiculous. Not only is everyone not getting a tax cut, most Americans are getting a tax INCREASE.

By all means though tell me where I got something wrong here. Trump played conservatives for fools.

-Starship Troopers the movie did parody fascism, but the book most certainly does not and it is a criticism that is (not entirely unjustly) leveled against the book.

Not sure if you've read the book, but it's nothing like the movie and a really great piece of classic 50's Sci-Fi. Also one of the earliest and best examples of space marines in powered armor vs. alien bugs.

The core tenent that Heinlein is going for is that anything that is not earned is inherently worthless, so citizenship freely given is meaningless. In his society, citizenship is earned through a 4 year tour of duty in service to the state (as anything, from a soldier to a scientist to a farmer to being a lab rat) and after that service is completed, citizenship is granted and a higher level of civics is acheived merely by the sacrifice made to earn that citizenship.

It's not some airtight manifesto or anything, but there is a kind of intelligence and logic behind the thought that I can appreciate.

I haven't read this entire thread, but didn't Harry Reid also reject the notion of anchor babies back in 1993.

And no I don't think Trump can fix the 14th amendment with an Exec Order. I agree with what Harry Reid said in 1993, it still should be fixed.

I'm curious why you didn't bother linking to what Reid said (someone who is no longer in Congress, btw). Apparently you have an awesome memory and can remember what a senator said some 25 years ago said and you aren't just repeating a talking point you recently heard.

Yes, I did see a video of it recently.Is that a problem for you?
Does that make the point invalid that it was 25 years ago or that he is no longer in DC?
