So if I go to BB to buy it, they will sell it to me for $199, and Sprint will re-up my EPRP with a 2 year contract? And you are sure about this why?
Because Ive done it 3 timesAs recently as last month on my wife's line.
That's great. What about the extra $10/mo on the EPRP plan? Is that still an unknown?
I preordered mine at Radio Shack today. I figured it was the same price ($199, no rebate) as Best Buy, but RS throws in a $20 accessories credit too. I realize that gets me half a charger, and in fact I made that joke to the guy at the counter who laughed and agreed with me, but its better than nothing!
Oh I didn't realize RSH did the no rebate thing. That's great. I'm going to do this.
Do have an EPRP account? Are you in CA? If so, how much is the sales tax?
Most Best Buys will not touch a SERO or EPRP plan. Around a year or so ago Sprint changed their poly on these and no one is supposed to mess with them except for over the internet or phone.
Also the $10 charge will apply to EPRP as well.
I'm on SERO. I will be moving to EPRP, unless my employer discount on the simply everything 450 makes that cheaper. I don't use 450 mins a month with 7pm nights, so the extra 50 mins won't hurt.
I'm in VA, my sales tax rate probably wouldn't help you
I also heard an internet rumor that 4G service is already unofficially up in DC and Northern VA - that would be incredible if it were true on 4 Jun.
If you're already on SERO, they won't ask you for anything to switch to EPRP.I should add that I'm out of contract on SERO, so to anyone selling me a phone, it won't matter. It's between me and Sprint to allow me to activate the phone, but I'm locked in by purchasing the phone no matter what.
I know they won't let me activate on SERO. I contacted them over chat (from their website) and they told me I could buy the phone, then call in to switch to EPRP when I'm ready to activate.
Good to know about the free cell to cell on EPRP. I didn't know that, I figured it was the same mobile to mobile (sprint only) that the regular plans got.
I'm just hoping they don't need the employee info when I go to change. I have a relative that works for Sprint, but it'd be a pain in the ass if I need to ask him for whatever they want to verify it.

Cool, good to know - thanks. Do I just call in to the employee sales # like I did for SERO?
That's what I did to activate my Hero.
Just to update, I was actually able to change it over their chat system today. The guy knew what SERO was, that EPRP wasn't the same as the regular Everything Plus, and how to change it over. He did it for me effective my next billing cycle, which is right about when I'm getting the Evo.
Good call on the free mobile to mobile to any cell. I didn't even bother pricing out the regular plan w/ my employee discount, since most of my minutes are to other cell phones anyway. I guess I won't get Sprint Premiere, but oh well.
Actually, according to the FAQ, EPRP is eligible for Premier I have a monthly recurring plan of $69.99 or more. With the $10 Evo add-on, I'll be spending that.
The ED plans also have the unlimited cell-to-cell minutes, it's not an EPRP-only thing.
Question. I need a family plan. If I preorder, what must I do to make this happen?
the web link worked, though it ended up taking 3 days to do what I probably could have done with a 3 minute phone call (but once I submitted it, I didn't want to call and end up with 2 conversion requests in the works).a google search turned up people successfully converting from SERO to EPRP using https://www.sprint.com/webconversionform/index.html ... submitted my conversion request and currently awaiting approval/denial.
