It seems to me the 'righties' did quite well in the last election. 2010 will be the ultimate test.. but if went like 2009, things might not be so good for Obama and Pelosi.

Heh. I think you're right, to a degree. Had the FRB and the Bush Admin not totally reversed course on their whole Free Market! Self Regulation! schtick, we'd likely be reliving 1931. Nobody raved about them being soshulist, even though they did it as a form of socialism for the wealthy.

Fools still voted for Repubs, anyway- illustrating the effectiveness of 30 years of propaganda... propaganda designed to roll back the constraints of New Deal banking, the only reason we had a stable banking system from WW2 until just recently. Prior eras were constantly suffering some sort of banking crisis or another...

I suspect that the Obama Admin is really a lot more Right than many progressives would have liked, still not far enough Right to satisfy the ravers at the Repub base. Can't be, no matter what, because they're the hated *Democrats*, fer crissakes.

I also suspect that in arresting a really big crash, we've left the bankers in the position where they have us all by the short and curlies... that the financial situation is still very unstable. If we mess with it too much, it'll tumble, credit will evaporate. Basic extortion.

Both Geithner and Bernanke seem to understand that, and are pushing for some modest and needed reforms to curb the worst abuses. That's about the best we'll get, unless it really falls apart at the seams like it did in the 30's...

Just one of many I could have posted. Lot's of visuals for those with short attention spans - no reading necessary.

Funny that you mention "no reading necessary" as I did read it and found it riddled with spelling errors, anachronistic claims, ridiculous assumptions, and overall very little actual evidence.

Maybe next time get your facts from something more reliable than a blog...

Gitmo for teabagger/rw terrorists, make them do labor, such as making medical industry supplies. Get rid of ignorant douchebags AND keep healthcare costs down. win/win

The point of the post was the pictures but I know that escaped you. Oh, I'll just hold your hand and tell what my post was for. A lot of lefty emo types were lamenting that people were insinuating that they either thought that, or perhaps even wanted to do Obama harm. That thoughts of that type were wrong, racist, evil, just plain not fair, unwarranted, unjust, yada, yada yada.

So I posted the first link I found that had a ton of visuals showing our previous President was treated in the exact same manner. If you looked at the pictures you saw hangings, shootings, beheadings, Bush portrayed as Hitler, Bush called a terrorist, negative biblical references to him, him being burned in effigy, bumper stickers with hangman's nooses and so on and so forth. So if a fart smeller like yourself wants to read the drivel associated with what was a cornucopia of pictures well I can't stop you. Even after I said don't bother.

Everybody else got it, you didn't.

Interesting attitude. Gitmo is a horrible place for terrorists and must be closed, but it's a great place for those whose political views don't agree with yours?

Childish.

Why do you hate 'murica, terrorist coddler?

Edit: Maybe that is a bit cruel to ask righties to have to work, (besides the effort expended getting angry at what some old white person tells them on the radio or fox) might as well just hand em over to Castro or Chavez since they are such "buddies" with Obama, a little indoctrination and they will be fine comrades, its not like its anything new to them!

Fear No Evil,
I understand that in 2009 Democrats lost state level elections...but at a federal level they only increased their influence. In fact the two seats they won ended up being instrumental in the healthcare reform bill passing the house.

Remember it only passed 220-215. Bill Owens and the other democrat who was elected in special elections this year both voted for the bill. A republican also voted for the bill, but he waited until it broke the 218 threshold to vote for it. If Republicans had picked up these two seats, the bill wouldn't have passed, because that lone Republican wouldn't have voted for it and the bill would have died 217-218.Certainly there probably would have been some arm twisting to get extra Democrat votes on board, but just some food for thought.

I'm not sure how you can draw the conclusion that 2010 will be bad for Democrats by extrapolating the results from the 2009 elections, in which Democrats increased their power at a federal level. Traditionally the incumbent party loses in an off-year election, but I'm not yet sure it will be the electoral disaster the right is predicting. I'm guessing a net loss of about 20 seats in the House.

The Dems would have bought off another person to get the vote count. If the Republican had never been in the race in New York, the Conservative most likely would have won. What does that say? Health care passed on a technicality? Doesn't matter anyways, the House version of the bill would never pass the Senate. Once the Senate bill passes, a small group of Dems will once again go behind closed doors, do pretty much whatever they want, and it'll end up passing, like everything else. Each of the committee bills is a joke, each of the house bills is a joke. They're being treated like unnecessary procedural steps.

No, I didn't, either you are being intentionally ignorant by ignoring the post I replied to (even quoted) or are you too stupid to follow the flow of posting, I vote for too stupid.

yeah, let's argue all our political views based on a religion, then disrespect the shit out of it anyway...

it's sad that the only positive thing that can be said anymore is at least they're generally not hating obama for being black. just every single other thing, legitimate or not. i'd almost prefer good old fashioned racism.

They sure have you fooled. That which they will not speak aloud they feel the strongest, how is it that they hate every single other thing as you put it? Because the one thing they hate the most HIS RACE is not politically or socially acceptable to hate and they know it, so they transpose their racial hate into an irrational hate of everything he touches.

Good old fashioned racism is alive and well and stronger than ever, it just has a more sinister level of deception and secrecy these days.

Is it a component of the "vast right wing conspiracy"?

That's actually very good.

Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
Care to reconsider your position?

Why should he? 109:8 says "“Let his days be few; and let another take his office.” . Sounds perfect to me. If someone quotes some other psalm , feel free to return with feigned outrage ;)
