so can somebody please explain to me why the govern doesn't legalized it, tax it and make a profit of this "illegal" drug?


I'm reading up on how and when it became illegal and im not quite understanding it? can anybody here please clarify on specifically why it became illegal?

The main arguement I hear is the social cost of legalizing it would be so high. Yeah we can tax it but how many health related expenses are we going to encounter? Just look at booze as an example how many DUI's are out there and how many people die every year from doing stupid shit while drinking. When used in moderation it might be ok just like beer but we all know there are going to be tons of people that abuse it (and already do).

I dont know about overdose but might be long time effects similar to smoking I am not sure though.
