I got these for $4/6pack. I've bought 5 cases so far. Regular price is currently ~$10/6pack. I usually get glass 750ml bottles, and avoid plastic generally, but since it's distressed merchandise, I feel a little better about it.

No. First off it's sparkling, and secondly, it has a unique flavor. It's also from Germany, so it traveled a long way to get here. It's like soda, but not terrible for you.

Why would I do that? Carbonated tap water isn't Gerolsteiner. Gerolsteiner is a unique piece of the world I don't otherwise have access to. I make money doing things I at least tolerate so I can afford to buy things I like, or don't want to do myself. I'm not interested in being a chemist, tweaking mineral content to replicate a flavor I can just buy in a bottle.

Dude's wearin' camo, so thinking is MilSpec spending which immediately triples even basic things.

I use tap water and refill water container I have on hand.

You don't think that is just a tad expensive for water?

No I don't. Perrier is 7.49 for a 6 pack at Target.
Pelligrino at Target is 2.49 for a liter bottle.

lxskllr's sparkling water is 1/2 the cost. That's what this thread about.
Posting what are the deals you've scored. It's like the Hot Deals forum. If you don't like the deal or have negative shit to say
about it, better just to stay silent.

No one here needs to say "I use tap water and refill water container I have on hand."
That's just being a fucking troll.

Amazon has a sale on cans of Heinz Deep-Browned Beans with Pork & Molasses - case of 24 for $23.00

So I ordered a case. I think I will pick up some hotdogs and make some wieners & beans (beans and franks for Americans) when they arrive.

:D

Our Sam's Club had 20 ct Haagen-Dazs mini milk chocolate covered vanilla ice cream bars for $5.71. So tasty and only 12 carbs.

How many is a legit serving? Snickers ice cream bars are always eaten in pairs, and they're well over 12 carbs. Maybe thats a me problem :^D

Interesting you avoid plastic but are not concerned of the carbon footprint of transporting "water" 5000 miles from its source.
A lot of restaurants in SF won't even sell you imported sparkling water any longer - they have in house CO2m machines to use with filtered tap water.

It's just like buying beer. "Why buy Belgian beer? There's beer at home!"

Beer at home...

End of the day I go above and beyond conserving resources, and I've done so for decades. Long before the issues even made it to the mainstream. I do it imperfectly, but I'm closer to perfect than most. So, if I occasionally want German water that isn't available anywhere else(Apollinaris is close. Also German), I'm gonna get it, and I'll feel fine about it. Again, fucking carbonated tap water isn't the same. Might as well suggest Koolaid as a wine substitute.

Good thing I have North Coast Brewery close to home and keeps me well stocked in Pranqster & LeMerle, I'd hate to have the "only" option being Coors light.

Give Mountain Valley Spring Water (Arkansas) a shot - it's no Gerolsteiner but its pretty good! Nationwide distribution too.

I've had Mountain Valley. It is good. I occasionally get their plain, and lime. I especially like the lime compared to major brands. The flavor's more subdued, and compares favorably to Perrier, which I don't generally get anymore for various reasons.

Beach Plum - La Croix has been my recent go to in the sparkling water flavors.

The game changer though has been TrueLime & TrueGrapefruit with plain bubbly water. I think it was Alaska Air who turned me onto this stuff.

I'll keep my eyes open for that. I haven't done it in awhile, but I used to mix extracts with tap water for something different. Peppermint and anise were favorites.

If you have a Winn-Dixie near, through tomorrow they have Ole Carolina Hickory Smoked Bacon or Jamestown Hardwood Sliced Bacon $2.99 lb. I haven't seen any bacon that cheap for a long time

Local Korean market always has sales on random veggies that look like Ike Turner had his way with them... It was green & red bell peppers for $0.99/lb.

Put them on the BBQ, turning until skins were blistered/blackened and then placed them in a bowl under a towel to steam. Proceeded to peel the skins, clean and chop into strips. Salt, lots of olive oil and two whole garlic gloves per bowl. Tomorrow I'll remove the garlic gloves and they will be fantastic to eat with some sourdough bread from Boudin.
Been eating/preparing this since childhood.
