Memory and board timings. That was on an Asus Rampage Extreme III board and I'm finding it's generally faster across the board then the Classified 759/762 and the Asus P6T7.

This chip goes to 6.4 but I don't have access to dry ice here.

I don't like running at 4.5 24/7 because of volts/temps when loaded 100 percent for days. WC would fix that but as you know it's forbidden here.

At least get your command rate to 1T. Does that not work at all?

Something is amiss because I've never had any X58 board (and I've tried them all except the crappy ones!) and they can run at 1T.

It's HARD to kill a retail chip. Unless you really do something wrong. Heck most of the people are blowing pins on their boards from the current. The better boards have so much more power than is required. This is one of the reasons why I never tried a 1156 system aside from it being a bargain platform.
