With my current system, orderly cabling isn't possible. 🙁

Its a mid-tower case with 3 DVD-ROM/RW drives, 1 IDE hdd, 2 SATA drives, an XP120 HSF w/ 120mm fan, dual slot 6800GT, and 4 80mm fans. In a nutshell, the case in jammed packed. There is barely enough room for airflow, let alone order among the cables. 🙁

My next case is going to be a full tower though, so that will make more space available.

This is my second attempt,i swapped out that seasonic power supply for the ocz .This is as good as it gets.About the two power supplys the seasonic is by far a much quieter p/supply and is almost just as stable it came down to looks for me and the ocz looks better and the 12v rail is rock solid

We have a winnar! 😎 The lighted thingamabobs are the SCSI terminators. The plump rounded cables attached to the PCI cards are the SCSI cables (bought them that way at Newegg). They just sneak up behind the drives where you can't see them.

That's a mess. But, it's a mess of share lazyness. You can easily formulate management out of what you have there.

1) Route the Power supply 20/24 pin cable under the motherboard to come under the Power socket. There is alot of slack, and that can be hidden under the PCB itslef.

2.) Your SATA cables can also be routed on the under edge of the motherboard to meet the SATA header.

3.) Your USB/PCI header can be routed in parellel with the PCI slots to meet the header. Or, it can be routed right under the Audigy card and hooked back using an adhesive and zip ties to the PCI slot itself to secure it to meet the header.

4.) If those beige cables in the front of the chassis by the 80mm fans are Frontal USB/Firewire/Audio cables, that you're not going to use. Then zip tie them to the HDD cage up above threading the zip tie to the holes in the cage. As a harness.

You're right... laziness. Things have changed since then though and when I get my new case fans I'll organize things better... however, the 20 pin connector won't fit behind the motherboard.

That's not entirely true. Thanks to the information in this thread, I came across the product listed below which I'm going to purchase & use to rearrange my cabling this weekend. This stuff looks really cool.

Yeah, it's safe now. Couldn't find good place to take a good shot of the case...the thing is a bitch to photograph. 😀

Just finished my first build. Still working on cable management, but so far it isn't terrible, IMHO.

It's a little hard to see (purple color, bottom right, deep into the case), but the case I chose (Antec CS600) features a nice little cable management rack to string the longer cables through. It made things MUCH easier 😎
