I always found it puzzling that AMD offered a enthusiast oriented unlocked part, but states that the second you do anything enthusiast-ish and use the unlocked multiplier, you're warranty is void. I mean, I understand they don't want to cover some naive, well-meaning tinkerer putting 1.7 volts through it on the stock cooler going for 5.5GHz who RMA's the chip after smelling smoke. Maybe AMD will bring out some sort of copycat protection plan. Of course, most enthusiasts look to Intel these days... I still wouldn't mind having an 8350 to play with if the price was right... of course those $99 Microcenter 2500K's are quite appealing. I'm just thinking out loud now, I suppose I should end this random post at this point.
