A shade over 6000 in 2001SE when I was using DX8.1 and Catalyst 2.5 on my Radeon 9000 (1.4GHz AthlonXP w/ 768MB of RAM). With DX9, it dropped to about 5700. Wonder if newer drivers are out than Catalyst 3.0...

Well, to be honest I gon't give a rats @$$ about benchmarks because I think people concentrate on them way too much

but my friend loaded up 3dmark2000 and i scored a 8200 on it with my config (though it was not oc'ed at all)

I've heard that people who see a number after running 3DMark achieve some sort of perverted satisfaction. This may be connected with the physical structure of their skulls. It has been said that those who feel satisfaction after seeing a meaningless 3DMark number have a bone structure very different from those who perceive image quality as being far more important. The people who have mini orgasms at the sight of a 3DMark number have skulls that are very flat in the front and are very VERY thick making little room for brain matter. I don't have the money or the time to research this subject, so I'll leave it as being true. Much like 3DMark users see those scores as being true.

I dont know if my system is normal. But it seems that everytime I update my detonator drivers whether beta or not, I always get a higher score. Even before when I had a different card from what I have right now. Maybe its has something to do as to how I manage my system.

Oh by the way my 3dmark score is exactly 9700 (i wish this number is my video card model)

Athlon XP 1600 palomino
256 DDR 2100
ECS KT400
GF4 Ti 4200 128mb (only 300@550 to be safe) :)
Win XP pro SP1

Im not that sure if I have a good score for my system. Maybe I should add 1 more 256mb dimm.

Edit: the video card is a 9500 with the Soft9700 patch. The CPU is an Athlon XP 2100+ T-bred B at 2090 Mhz (11x190FSB). I hit 16,504 this morning with 11.5x190FSB, but the system is not stable at that level -- prime95 errors -- so I don't plan to "publish" that result.

My signature is not updated, I got 2722 without OC (haha).

I really like Vulpine GL Mark for testing under Open GL. I get 24.5 FPS.
