I'd upgrade if the Parhelia wasn't so much of a dissapointment. I'm not giving up Matrox 2d.
Plus, Unreal 2k3 plays just fine in Instant Action for my taste. I'd like it to be faster, but think I'll wait to see if the Parhelia's clock gets a kick in the pants over the next six months (or the current part drops below $200, maybe by cutting out TripleHead?). Anyone know if this is a possibility?

You might think thats a bit high for a Kyro II, but mine is modded and OCed. Works better than some peoples GF3's and cost half as much.

I heard if you turn off textures your score will shoot through the roof. Looks great too. You should try it!

I have got 4387 3DMarks on my Athlon XP2200+, 1GB 333Mhz DDR Ram, and a GeForce II GTS.

However, I have just bought an ATi Radeon 9700 PRO, which I am hoping (tee hee) will increase the score ever so slightly..... I will report back as soon as its properly installed and tested

Hmm. I'm surprised you didn't get higher with your GF2. With a 64 meg GF2 and only a 1.33 T-bird, and SD ram, I got 4040. Was that the default benchmark?

BTW, I now have a similar system to you, XP220+, 512 ddr 333, and a 9700 pro....a best of 12435, which I hope to improve on. Enjoy that new card.

I get right around 9900.

Thats with a 2.4ghz p4 and a radeon 8500 at 295/295.
I think the radeon should last me awhile. It plays all the current games at max detail pretty well.
Might have to upgrade when doom comes out tho. That game looks sweet.
