I got 1740 on first run, could have get higher but my vid card froze in some scenes. Dammit, my albatron geforce 4 ti4200 was running rock solid at 320/710 until this crap came along, even saw some flickering. I HATE IT WHEN NEW 3DMARKS MAKE YOUR USED TO BE STABLE OVERCLOCKING INTO NOT SO STABLE ANYMORE!!!!!!!!

I just got 1902 from a second run after lowering my vid clocks by 5MHz, got rid of those pesky pauses n go in the game. I rather set my clocks back up to my previous settings, instead of lowering my clocks just to run this bench stably.

P4 1.6a @ 2.48GHz (155x16)

Epox 4g4a+
Albatron geforce 4 ti4200 Turbo 128mb @ (320/710)
sb live! value
det 40.72 + dx9.0

Well, its about time they implemented something with sound testing. Sound is somewhat important in 3D gaming...I downloaded it, and ran it, time will only tell if it ends up to be accurate or a piece of sh!t like the previous versions. I still stand by my conviction that real games are a better test than synthetic benchmarks, and always will be.

score: 4286

system: Athlon XP 2200+
Radeon 9700 Pro(currently stock speeds)
256MB PC2100(temporary, I've got 512MB of PC2700 in the process of being RMA's to newegg)

Does anyone else find it annoying that it takes longer to load the tests than to run them?

I got a score of 3591.

This is with a Radeon 9500pro, 512mb ddr @375, and P4 2.4 @2.7ghz

I had the system running at 2.79ghz but it crashed the first time I ran 3dmark03. Backed it down
to the 150fsb and everything runs smooth. I am using the latest drivers and the Radeon is at stock
speed. I need to nut up and flash the bios to see what kinda overclocking results I can get.

Sheesh moneesh. (Dont ask where that came from. :)) I FINALLY started downloading 3DMark03 right now, will probably be done at 10pm or so. I have hopes for about the 1100 range based on peoples scores.

Ill post my rating ASAP.

Geez, you are the originator for this thread and yet don't even have the software? :p

I only got 936 on my rig. I oc'ed my 2000+ to 1.75, does this score seem low to you?

BTW, congrats to kreig for an amazing score for his hardware setup. He has the best score here yet and his hardware isn't exactly top of the line

I got 1570 on a p4 1.6@2.1 Geforce ti4600 512 ram. This looks like it's jaded to the Radeon cards.

Thanks touchmyichi. It's taken me some time and a bit of luck with getting one of the "good" 9500s to build this sytem. But even so, Spicedaddy has 100 points on me and I've about maxed out the overclocking with my current hardware. I can get 2.0 GHz out of the T-Bred but I have to run it at 1.9v which makes me a bit nervous. 1.85v will net me my current 1.955 Ghz. Same thing with the 9500. I can run the core at 400 MHz, but I prefer to leave it at 350. You really don't see much of a difference between 350 and 400. The 3.3ns memory is what's holding it back.

3892!!

I was surprised to get such a decent score with my Althon 1265 with PC133 RAM. I guess my Radeon 9500Pro (351/317) is helping out a bit.

I got 724 on my first run with the 4109 whql candidate drivers but I had some settings jacked up like the anti aliasing and anistropic filtering, I reset them to defaults and tried the 4072 (whql) drivers and got 1606 then I found the beta 4286 drivers and got 1714 with them.

Hey Barneyfife, get the 4286 beta detonators at guru3d and after you install them go to the nvidia control panel and click "restore defaults" on each screen (opengl, D3D) and run it again

Score 1714
Ti4600 stock clock
P4 1.6@2.3
Beta Detonator 42.86

After tweaking my AIW9700 to 380/350 I was able to get up from 4327 (stock) to 4910 (o/c). I really wanted to break 5000 but got system hangs and artifacts at higher speeds.

If you don't have a DX9 card (which basically means ATI 9xxx) then your scores won't measure up. Someone stated that earlier but I thought it beared repeating.

I will install Cat 3.1 tomorrow and see how that changes things.

LOL, this is hilarious. Too many of you are getting worked up over this bench. Yeah 10,000+ looks impressive in 3DMark2k1, but this is 03, and guess what it is testing? DX9. If your card does not officially support DX9, then you are SOL and ignorant for thinking your "killer" system is ready for DX9 games.

Comes no surprise to me that the "mighty" GF4 is crashing and burning in this test... 9500 Pro = 4000 marks whereas a Ti 4600 = 2000 marks. Why is this when the Ti 4600 is right up there everywhere else? Could it be the fact that the 9500 Pro is a piece of hardware built to support DX9 while the Ti 4600 only DX8?

Just because your system might royally blow hardcore on this test means jack squat unless you expect your current rig to be ready to play unhindered DX9 games. This is basically a bench for owners of video cards powered by an R300 core...for everyone else you get a slide show of what you could have with smooth frame rates should you have such a piece of hardware. IMO the games available and tested on my Radeon 8500 looked very very very badass, I now have the urge to go out and by a 9700 Pro or better because of this benchmark, I want to be able to play things like "Game test 2" with respectable frame rates!

Don't put down the benchmark either, it seems to me that it seems far more polished than any past version and it seems as if it actually measures your systems ability to play games (future ones mostly) far better than 3DMark2k1, at least that is my opinion. Notice the first person view of the second game test...seems reasonable to me...that test was more taxing than Doom III...

What would be really interesting to see is a GeForce FX run this test. Something tells me it might blow away a stock R300, especially on the standard settings...

What neat about this version is the system specs it captures in the details.
Even grabs the 9700pro clock speeds.

NO ... Im not pushing my specs for this score...

this is my normal system specs... I just replaced my blue orb with a crystal orb today that gave me 24mhz more on the core on my 9700pro.
