Post your 3D-Mark 2003 Scores!!!

^^ Yikes! <10fps on many benchmarks (and this seems not uncommon for non-Radeon 9700's). I'm trying to download 3d Fark 2k3 (mainly to watch the game demos), but it's slow everywhere. I have a strong feeling that this will give me the pointless "my 2 GHz system with Ti4200 is inadequate" feeling, even though that makes no rational sense whatsoever. This benchmark will be more relevant when games actually start using DX9, Pixel/Vertex shadar 2.0 (or even 1.4). For now it's just purdy graphics and low framerates.

I have a feeling many 3dmark believers will start to get the strong urge to get a 9500 or 9700, despite the fact that upgrading to one (particularly from a GF4 or 8500) will not be too useful until about 6 months from now, after R350 and even possibly R400 is out.

hardocp compared FX Ultra and 9700. Pretty even steven except at 1600 where the FX pulls ahead.
they trashed the bench though. I wonder if the pro version is that much better...

I dont think it set off the rage3d overclocker so I think it ran may 9700 @ 275/270 but my score was 4007. i'll have to set my clocks manually and try it again. I don't know what to think after watching vers. 2001 so many times.

With my card clocked 330/296 I got 4585.

I have some old drivers going on here because they are the most stable, I am sure if I put the 3.1's on I would score higher.

Yay! After trying all noon to get in at one of the sites I now just got in at some place in Finland. Looks like in an hour or so at the 40ish k per second I will have the file.

Ill post my numbers then. Just built my new machine last week P4 2.4@2.79ghz, 512mb PC2700 Kingston @375mhz, Radeon 9500pro @default.

You are crippled big time on this benchmark if you don't have a DX9 card (ie Radeon 9500/9700 or GF FX). The last game is heavily weighted in your score. Here's the formula for your mark (based on the 4 game benchmarks) taken from HardOCP's "preview" of this program:

"3DMark score = (GT1fps * 7.3) + (GT2fps * 37) + (GT3fps * 47.1) + (GT4fps * 38.7)"

As you can see, the fourth test is worth your FPS score (most R9700's get around 25-30) * 38.7 . You can basically add ~1000-1100 marks to your score to get a closer comparaison to a DX9 card. However, I'm not sure if the CPU benchmarks are also considered. Here are the CPU benchmark formulas:

"3DMark score = (CPU1fps * 4.6) + (CPU2fps * 27.5)"

Ouch, I got 1150 with a P4 1.6A@2.4 and a Radeon 8500 stock. A lot of the tests I was getting around 1-5fps.
All those 4500 with Radeon 9700's are making me wanna upgrade.

Yikes! I get a score of 1487 with a Ti4200 64MB @ 300/600, with my XP 1700+ @ 1.83 GHz, 166/166 FSB/Memory. Doesn't really matter, tho. I'm not going to play 3dmark 2k3 much, it's not a very fun game.

However, this just makes R350 or R400 more attractive, down the road, when I'll actually need it.
