My fiancee and I are thinking about getting a bull dog. The only thing we're on the fence about is not being able to leave it home alone all day. We're thinking it wouldn't be fair to the dog. We both work full time, although she is a teacher and is off during the summer.

What's up with your bulldog's eye? I think I've heard they have problems with their eye's and need drops?

our bulldog is home alone for 8 hours a day. we dont have him caged any more. he is housebroken. we do fence him in the kitchen but thats plently big enough for him. all he really does it just sleep all day. so i think you would be fine once he is house broken. it took us like 3 months to finally get him 100%

our dog has 'cherry eye' it is a common issue with bulldogs. at this point it is just purely comestic and causes to pain to the dog. we just havent gotten it fix. its like 200-300 to get fix. so we are in no rush..

sometimes when u get the eye fixed it can cause dry eye then you would need the drops.

If you want to buy your vet a new house get a bulldog. They are the British sports car of the dog world but without the sport since they can barely move without over heating.

I was at my Dad's for dinner last night. Perch, pickerel and shrimp... and chillin with Toby:

he's about a year old now. still REALLY full of piss and vinegar 🙂

Don't worry, shepherds always calm down. It generally takes 12-14 years, but it happens.
