hey man, you can't by any chance get those chrome 17's from that 300M or LHS there in the background can you?
ach, i hate seeing nice cars like that all wasted. ack.. 🙁

Nope, sorry 🙂 . Pulled the ranger out of the junkyard a day or two after the wreck; it's been a giant paperweight in my garage ever since. Couldn't tell you if that car is still there or not.

Nate

damn, those are some nice rims.. just sitting there too... ack!
thanks 🙂

how does it go? OMG AIEEEEE NOOOO!O!OO!O!!!!!!

yes, it is auto. My parents also drive the car, since there are 3 of us, and 2 cars. It woulda been cool if it was stick, but, hell, it was free to me, so why should I be sad about it? It kicks the ass of most cars stock AND with automatic gearbox....hey, i'm not complaining

Weird, I just noticed that the speedo on the WRX only goes up to 140. Most sports cars have speedos that go up to 160 or 180, even if the speed is governed around 130. I guess that it's more practical, but it isn't as cool looking.

you my friend need to go back to the dealership and take out a manual WRX
you would LOVE IT.
i drove my car off the lot having never owned a stick before. never go back to automatic.
people who love to drive always like driving manuals. you get this better connection to the car you just can't have with an auto...

Do it in stop and go with a clutch in a 69 3/4 ton for a few years, fun turns to :| I swear my left leg was 2X the size of my right 😉

I'm glad you said leg :Q

good point. there are definitely advantages to both:

auto:

nothing to worry about, can't grind the gears even if you want to (unless you throw it in reverse going forwards quickly....do I hear an experiment? 😛)

stick:

little better mileage, more fun from what i hear (except for stop and go traffic 😉)

Yep, like most things in life, pro's and con's to both, it's for the uses they serve that is best... my 83 has a 4 speed manual, that is fine for it's use as a camper 4x4 truck... the 99 is for towing, it's FAR superior to the 83 even before the blower 😉

Wow, you don't even own the damn thing yet and you talk about it's towing capabilities! 😉

Like LAUST said, until the government decides otherwise he doesn't. (Talking about the 83 F150, not the 99)
