didnt scroll through the whole thread, but here is ... snip.
Hey, people, there's no need to scroll through a thread to find things. Just click the icon at the top right to create a printable version of the thread and then search THAT. That way you avoid having to search each page of posts in the thread for an exhaustive search. IOW, Control+F (Find) in the printable version. This makes it a complete snap to find out if something has already been mentioned in a thread.

I've been waiting for someone to discover an unofficial Quicktime codec for WMP so we could get full-screen playback and browser integration without the original installed, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen so I'll put forth this piece of crap program that I've had to deal with:
Fullscreen Movie Player
You need WMP and QT installed. I strongly urge everyone to assign WMP6.4 to all video codecs and only use WMP 7, 8 & 9 for jukebox stuff and the like. WMP6.4 can open multiple movie simultaneously, conforms to compact Windows standards and simple shortcuts (ALT + Enter was only FINALLY brought back in WMP9), can repeat endlessly and doesn't have pauses between repeats of most formats. To get rid of Quicktime's nagging (Thnx TheWart), set your date forward (I set mine to 2010), launch QT and dismiss the "Pro" upgrade question, close it, change the date back and it shouldn't bother you for years!
Now, does anyone know of an alternative to Realplayer? I know WMP used to play older RM and MOV files, but legally they can't do so with the newer versions...

I don't have a link, but look for a program called FavOrg. It's totally awesome. It checks all of your favorites and will redownload all of the little icons thingies. It will also make a seperate directory for these icons. Also, it checks all of your favorites for dead links and can update everything and even can update to the redirected site.
Totally awesome tool.

I'd be nice if someone listed all these on one webpage, or maybe by category.
