Despite seeming like a joke, I think thats what they actually should do on the mexican border....

Yep, two parallel fences 100 yards apart with everything in between the "killing zone". Big signs posted in every fricken language so there are no mistakes. You climb the fence, you get shot.

Last time I checked, our government was giving more rights to illegals and improperly funding the agencies in charge of our borders.

I'm a mile or two at most from the DC border. My closest relatives live in NYC. I have a friend whose friend lives in Chicago. Hmm.. what other cities were there?

I don't always take these as a joke because I feel that so many things nowadays do get overlooked and that's how we get focked over. But I do have enough sense to not pack my bags and catch the next flight out to Anchorage.

I lost my neighbor whom I lovingly referred to as an uncle at the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks and I can remember how much panic went through my house when we couldn't get ahold of my grandmother, uncle, aunt, or cousins in NYC until days later.

liliuqt,

it certainly is no joke.

I was kind of ignoring this thread yesterday and the source might be unreliable and just making up things - but then the headlines and the thread of this AL Quida w@nker on cnn are real.
There is SOME coincedence and i am for sure not comfortable NOW.

I still do NOT believe that there will be nuclear bombs - IF, then i always think it will be bio-terrorism or "dirty bombs"...and PROBABLY not on a mass scale...but i think i scrap my plans going downtown the city this saturday nevertheless. Call me a whimp.

Sweet. We've been chatting about this subject for the past few days now and CNN only picked up on it this afternoon. ATOT actually scooped CNN, the mother of all news web sites!!!

Who says ATOT is populated by a bunch of fools and half-wits? Not I, I say!!!

CNN = PWNED

CONGRATS!!!!!

Those two bearded idiots have been making threats since 9/11 and not much has happened. They know if they try anything Islam will be bombed back into the stone age. Oh wait, they are already there...

They also made a lot of threats between 2/26/1993 and 9/10/2001. al-Qaeda is slow and methodical.

I'm not sure if they have nukes, though. But they certainly have the capability to make smaller bombs, as they always have.

you are right....but as said earlier...we are SO dependant on oil....think about it twice !! Nuking the ME would be a deathblow to our economy too.

I really dont think we would do that since the gain would be MUCH LESS than what we lose. Al Quaida is also too scattered (around the globe) and as an organization too lose that some nukes over some locataion in the ME would solve the problem or disarm Al Quiada - they would NOT.

The only "solution" would be invasion of certan ME countries - like we did with Iraq and taking over the gvt and getting some control there - but then please look at Iraq how "easy" this task is. And how long it will take.

The issue is too complex and thinking about 'just nuke all of 'em' - is UNDERSTANDABLE (after an assumed nuke on us) - but (at the end)..wont result in anything benefiting our cause/fight against terrorism etc. Thats what i think.

What is the ME?

Seriously though, think about it. If they do something that large in scale it will be another holocaust. Even the most liberal people on Earth would not stand for it. Arabs would be dragged into the streets and executed.

Think about it, there's 6.5B people on Earth and only 1B Muslims. Even if every Muslim was an extremist (not even close) they have no chance at winning a war against 5.5B people.

Hell, even France might jump in if we got nuked.

 That about sums up your entire post.

Seriously? Do you seriously think everybody in the world has a down-South Texas gunslinger attitude? Please...

Thankfully, the world is much smarter than that. Liberals and Frenchmen will not start executing innocent people in the streets, and the world isn't going to exterminate 1.3 billion people because a few people say so.

Not now, nor will we ever promote the genocide of 1/6th of the world's population because of the actions of a few.

I wouldn't worry about crap like this, since our terror alert level hasn't been changed to taupe....or is it magenta....forest green?

I am not saying everyone is going to up and murder Arabs, but there will be wide-spread cases of hate crimes and political correctness as we know it will take step backwards about 20 years.

And no, I don't think the civilized world is going to execute all Muslims. What I am saying is, the radical Islamic agenda is to topple the non-Muslims. How they think they can topple a people who outnumber them 5 to 1 (at least) is beyond me.

Last time I checked, their goals were "to rid the holy land of infidels", "to stop the support of corrupt rulers", and "to stop the stealing of our wealth". Those were Zawahri's words, approximately. I would interpret that to mean the following...remove our soldiers and bases from Middle East countries, and stop supporting/toppling regimes in that region as we please.

Also, since when does an organization of thousands like al-Qaeda speak for a billion plus Muslims?

And 5 to 1 is the entire world against them. Do you really think that the billions in China or the billions in Africa give two sh1ts about al-Qaeda bombing the US? Nope. So really, it's more like the the "Grand Coalition Of The Willing" (i.e. US/Britain) vs. al-Qaeda.

Study international relations before commenting about how countries react to international events. 9/11 was the worst attack of its kind but we didn't declare war on every Muslim in the world. When we don't even have the resources to successfully secure a country like Iraq, what makes you think we have the resources for large scale invasions, etc.

Yes, hate crimes will go up. Not surprising; that is what happened in London after the bombings. That's always a risk. Political correctness will only step backwards for those who had pre-existing racist issues, repressed or not.

I have friends who are Chinese. If the US and China get into a conflict over Taiwan, I'm not going to automatically hate them because they were born into a particular race or appearance.

9/11 will seem like nothing compared to how many people would die if nuclear weapons are involved.

So true. Again, my bets are on Iran for the next point of invasion. We're not going to invade Saudi Arabia while Bush is at the helm. Afghanistan is already taken care of. Iraq will make a good base of operations for our troops.

If we wanted to, we could secure Syria quite easily as well. No action will be taken against Kuwait, U.A.E., Qatar, etc...they are already friendly to the US.

Iran is the only country in that region who openly defies us.

Pakistan will not be targeted; they are our supposed allies, and they have nukes and a decent military. A war with them could also quickly destabilize Afghanistan, which is not something we want with al-Qaeda and the Taliban still running loose.

Egypt is friendly with us, and if we attacked them we could kiss Israel goodbye (along with Palestine). Other N. African nations have too many problems of their own; attacking them would be a waste of our resources.

Have any other ideas?

I am thorougly convinced that the next attack on our soil by al-Qaeda will piss off enough Senators to give Bush the go-ahead for Iran.

That's just the start. At the core radical Islam has three choices for non-Muslims:

1) Submit and convert to Islam.
2) Live under Islamic law as a second class citizen and pay a tax called "jizya."
3) Death.

Seriously, that's the agenda.
