 That about sums up your entire post.
Seriously? Do you seriously think everybody in the world has a down-South Texas gunslinger attitude? Please...
Thankfully, the world is much smarter than that. Liberals and Frenchmen will not start executing innocent people in the streets, and the world isn't going to exterminate 1.3 billion people because a few people say so.
Not now, nor will we ever promote the genocide of 1/6th of the world's population because of the actions of a few.
I am not saying everyone is going to up and murder Arabs, but there will be wide-spread cases of hate crimes and political correctness as we know it will take step backwards about 20 years.
And no, I don't think the civilized world is going to execute all Muslims. What I am saying is, the radical Islamic agenda is to topple the non-Muslims. How they think they can topple a people who outnumber them 5 to 1 is beyond me.
Last time I checked, their goals were "to rid the holy land of infidels", "to stop the support of corrupt rulers", and "to stop the stealing of our wealth". Those were Zawahri's words, approximately. I would interpret that to mean the following...remove our soldiers and bases from Middle East countries, and stop supporting/toppling regimes in that region as we please.
Also, since when does an organization of thousands like al-Qaeda speak for a billion plus Muslims?
And 5 to 1 is the entire world against them. Do you really think that the billions in China or the billions in Africa give two sh1ts about al-Qaeda bombing the US? Nope. So really, it's more like the the "Grand Coalition Of The Willing" (i.e. US/Britain) vs. al-Qaeda.
Study international relations before commenting about how countries react to international events. 9/11 was the worst attack of its kind but we didn't declare war on every Muslim in the world. When we don't even have the resources to successfully secure a country like Iraq, what makes you think we have the resources for large scale invasions, etc.
Yes, hate crimes will go up. Not surprising; that is what happened in London after the bombings. That's always a risk. Political correctness will only step backwards for those who had pre-existing racist issues, repressed or not.
I have friends who are Chinese. If the US and China get into a conflict over Taiwan, I'm not going to automatically hate them because they were born into a particular race or appearance.
